Medigun not leashing properly

So recently I've noticed that the leashing on the medigun is a little bugged.

Seemingly at random, when tapping LMB to select a new heal target, the healing animation will start then immediately switch off. It'll cause me to drop players in ubers because I can't connect with them and it's fucking up my buffs on scouts because I basically have to track them so I can connect the beam.
It happens on all mediguns as well as bots in offline maps.

yeah, i've noticed this too, hopefully this wont be one of those bugs it takes valve 200 years to fix.
