So before this update whenever I would play games like h1z1 or black ops 3, I would get good consistent fps. Also, in the optimization tab, it would say the optimal settings were all high. Now, after this update, I get really annoying frame drops and a lot of stuttering. Is there something I can do to fix this or has anyone been facing similar issues?

you can rollback drivers using system restore or just uninstall the drivers and look for the older ones that worked for you

never update your nvidia drivers right away. look around in the geforce forums for people's feedback on it, and see what they have to say about it first

i usually just stay on the same good, stable driver for months

I have some registry tweaks I did that fixed my stuttering due to the shitty nvidia drivers. I'll post them soon

i have spent the last 3 hours trying various config tweeks to try and work out why my tf2 was randomly dropping from 200 fps to 30 none of which worked so i'm wondering if i am having the same issue and its the new driver

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\
It should be under one of the options under video; it'll have 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003 options
Set all of these as dword values and restart your nvidia drivers

I have a few questions about how to do this

1. Do I put these commands in each of the 0000,1,2,3 folders or just one of them

2. My numbers don't match up with your numbers for the folders within video

ya pmuch. You put it in the 0 folder and your numbers may or may not match up

one side effect is that msi afterburner etc will not show gpu utilization anymore; it'll be stuck at 0, but this fixes a lot of stuttering issues for me
