I snagged an X200 Thinkpad off of ebay last month because I was tired of lugging around my 6lb 15.6 inch-monitor dinosaur that saw me through two unfortunate seasons and everything was swell up until today; I was using the lil' red dot in the center of the keyboard to navigate and suddenly my screen started to dim hardcore. First reaction was to google it and some users report it as dust but most report it as a failing inverter.

I'm pretty competent when it comes to hardware replacement and it's a pretty simple process looking at the lenovo manual but have any of you had experience replacing inverters?
