So, I'm new to competitive tf2, I've played on pubs and community servers of course, but I'm sick of always getting top score without putting much effort into it, and the lack of teamwork on most of those servers is pretty disgusting.

So, on what classes I can play: I like to play all classes, but I'm only looking to play 3 classes competitively: Heavy, medic and engineer.
Now, I'm going to explain what loadouts I use, for those who care.
Heavy loadout: For the minigun I use either the stock, or if I want to stay on defense I'll use the huo long heater, if I can stand right next to a dispenser and get this thing going, I'll get just about infinite ammo and the wall of fire prevents the engi's shit from getting sapped by spies, I obviously use the sandvich as a secondary, but I usually just give it to weakened teammates, and I like to use stock fists, you really don't need to get all fancy with a melee.

Medic loadout: Crusaders crossbow is a given, The stock medigun, and obviously the ubersaw (I'll go solemn vow if ubersaw is banned), honestly it's pretty simple.

Engineer loadout: All stock, I prefer not to get all fancy with an engineer loadout.

So, if you're looking to recruit me (a beginner in the competitive scene) to your team, or just try me out to see how I do, send me a friend request right here

Hey there! This LFT forum is geared towards ESEA players. While the rest of the forum contains discussion fit for every level of competitive play, this LFT area isn't for new players to the competitive scene. I would recommend checking out the UGC website and forum, the latter of which has an LFT section more akin to your experience.

also as I'm sure you will find out when you do get into competitive, there are some issues with your loadouts.
#1 you should use gloves of running urgently or fists of steel. as stock fists are basically useless.
#2 ubersaw is not banned. Solemn vow however is. So you kinda have it backwards.
#3 use rescue ranger, wrangler, jag as engie. I dont really believe that using the best weapons is considered "getting fancy"
#4 I can't remember if huo-long heater is banned, or just so terrible in competitive that nobody uses it. But nobody uses it.
try http://tf2center.com/lobbies if you want to practice competitive play.
