Graphical Glitches? NVIDIA Post Windows 10 Update

After updating to Windows 10, I've been using the same config and files for TF2 that I had from Windows 8.1. The game ran perfectly fine back in 8.1 but for some reason after the upgrade I've been seeing these graphical glitches on every server I connect to. Sometimes it's from the map itself and other times it's when someone connects and then they start. The glitches tend to take over a large portion of my screen, whether in first person or third.

Graphical Glitches Album (I didn't take a screenshot everytime. These are just recent shots I've gotten)

Has anyone else had these issues? I have no idea how to fix them.

Things I've tried to fix the issues:

  • Validating Game Cache.
  • Reinstalling Graphics Drivers.
  • Upgrading Graphics Drivers.
  • Autoconfiguring TF2.
  • Changing network settings.
  • Removing my config.
  • Console command: "record demo; stop"
  • Reinstalling the game itself.
  • Reinstalling Windows.

Computer Specs:

  • 8 GB RAM
  • AMD Phenom II X4 830 @ 2.80 GHz
  • NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti Boost
  • 1 TB HDD
  • Config

Did you upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, or do a clean install? If upgrade, did you update your drivers from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10? Either way, I'd suggest a clean install if you did the upgrade.

My team's Demo was having a lot of the same issues, and it was because he did the upgrade -- fixed it w/ a clean install.

Upgraded from 8.1 to 10. All drivers were updated and I manually checked them afterwards. NVIDIA drivers have been reinstalled and upgraded multiple times. I was considering a full windows reinstall or downgrade as my last resort.

I'd try a clean install of Windows 10, and note if things are still completely borked or not.

Thanks for the advice, much more willing to do it now that your demo was able to get rid of his issues by doing a clean reinstall. I'll probably attempt to do it tonight.

I just googled to see if other people had similar problems like yours, W10 TF2 graphical glitches and found this reddit post
https://www.reddit.com/r/tf2/comments/3j3alg/black_graphical_glitch_since_upgrading_to_windows/

Someone said switching to dx8 fixed it for them, but no one else said whether or not they tried dx8 on w10 so I don't know how viable that is. Shouldn't take too long to at least try though. GL
