Hunt for Ideas on a headphones/headset

My birthday is coming up and I am looking to upgrade my imo bad razer carcharias headset. I would like some suggestions on what I should get. I am comfortable with the idea of a headset or just a headphones external mic setup. My price range is about 100 dollars not includeing the mic if going with headphones. What I am looking for in a headphone or headset is mostly something that will help with gaming and great for listening to music. I heard sennhieser and audio technica is the best but looking for more options.

Anything by corsair, I personally used the vengeance 1500's for a couple years and the audio is really good for listenting to music and in games.

If you can save up about 40 bucks more you can get Sennheiser 598's for like a138 on Amazon.com and get a Zalman clip-on mic.

If not, the Sennheiser HD 280's are pretty damn good and they're noise cancelling-- and again you can get a Zalman clip on mic for only 8 bucks.

If you can save up $30 I'd recommend these, I love them for music especially, but they work very well for games also. No mic though.

I got a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro for $80 second handed and I can definitely recommend them, I have had it for 5 years now and it's still amazing as the first day, only replaced the pads recently

That + modmic is a beast setup.

akg k240s are nice, there should be enough money left to get a decent mic too

Superlux HD668B

litterally the greatest Ive ever used, although, be warned these are open headphones and they will sound a lot better, but people will be able to hear what you do and a lot of sound comes in.

hd668b are really good. 681 evo if you want something with more bass. only downside is that they are pretty uncomfortable and hurt your ears after while.
