I came across this and feel like TFTV should do something too.
I was thinking of either using <script src="//widget.battleforthenet.com/widget.min.js"; async></script> or possibly having someone edit the TFTV logo on the top to have a loading circle/"spinning wheel of death", replacing the TFTV circle.
Of course, this would only be temporary, but anything would help. And I understand there are probably a lot of people here who have already contributed or at least know what's going on, but we should still, in some way, support the fight against fast lanes and potentially get more people to join in on it.

This happened on September 10th. And yeah, I don't really think there's much point adding the widget at this point. It's a great cause, but I don't see why we should participate in a big, day-long campaign two days after the campaign took place.

I see where you're coming from, Kirby, but really the internet-at-large response to this problem has been mostly impotent gestures and hand-waving. For something like this to have worked, people would need to feel it where it hurts - instagram, youtube, twitch and netflix.

i don't think theres a point to doing it here anyway. the point of this is to do it to people who aren't already aware of the problem (google/instagram/facebook/ect)

I think you're missing the point. Allow me to (maybe) properly explain it.
First, under the proposed rules, ISPs will be able to restrict connection speeds however they feel, or even block traffic to certain websites. That means YouTube, Netflix, and even Twitch could be inaccessible. This actually does happen, but they try to make it less noticeable. If someone notices it, then they're forced to make up a bullshit excuse to cover their asses. The new rules will just allow them to do this officially AND allow them to be more aggressive with it.
Second, there's a chance that all the major ISPs (aka the ones who have the majority of internet users- let's face it, they're probably all essentially the same company anyway since there's so many duopolies and monopolies for ISPs) will implement a new type of internet package- instead of paying for more speed, you could end up paying for more websites. This would be VERY bad as many websites would not even be accessible at all, just the ones your ISP allows you to choose from.
Third, you're really just trolling but hopefully I've educated someone.
Hopefully alternative ISPs (Google Fiber) will take off if this happens. Well, I hope they take off even if this doesn't happen, but it will be even more important then.
