At least for CS:GO, a huge VAC wave ban just hit.

I looked through a bunch of "I'm banned" threads and saw several people that I *KNEW* have been toggling walls in casual, so it looks like an extremely popular wallhack just got detected. I'm just so glad I'll be able to play without these shitstains for a little while!

Its not like they cant play anymore they will just make an alt and play. it should really be made public so we can back trace peoples ip's and hostsmasks to label the cheaters accordingly. Thats what we did in tfc and it worked.

apparently one of the new features of vac3 is if you run a cheat on a computer with multiple accounts, you get flagged on all those accounts regardless if you only used the cheat on one of the accounts. so valve's got that all figured out.

they also use HWID for it instead of IPs so that they don't get peoples' siblings and shit. Have fun sharing your computer with a cheater though.

damn that's fucking incredible. do vac banned cheaters lose their cs:go items? I can't even imagine how many paranoid 13 year olds there are out in the wild right now with tears in their eyes

a lot of cheaters in cs:go usually scammed/stole the accounts they are using, which is why a lot of cheaters have those really expensive knives/skins and stuff in higher divisions

interestingly it doesn't work like in tf2: they get to keep their items but they get trade banned so they can't trade them away to another account.
