Fov while spectating

Hey,
Yesterday, while playing around with fov settings (viewmodel_fov / fov_desired), something screwed up.
After changing them, I noticed that when I spectate someone it uses default fov, while my settings are viewmodel_fov 100 and fov_desired 90 and they work fine when I play myself.

It's not really anything gamechanging but annoys the shit out of me. Pls help.

it has been a while, but im pretty sure that when you spec someone you are looking at their fov not yours.

Well it wasn't like that before I changed my settings for a first time in like 6 months.

when spectating the game uses the fov_desired amount of the person getting spectated, not the spectator

as far as i know this is how it has always been, it's just very rare for someone to not be using fov_desired 90 in any competitive setting

What about viewmodel_fov? On some people it shows 100 and other people default.

If it helps clarify, when you spectate someone, you see their FOV. However, from that, YOUR weapon FOV is altered by (don't quote me on this) 15 assuming they're using 75 FOV.

So an example:

I use 90 FOV, and 110 for my weapon FOV.

I spectate this Heavy in a pub. He uses 75 FOV. When I spectate him, I see his weapon FOV is at 95 and notice that he's using 75 FOV since everything looks bigger and less wide.
