Hey there,

I just started using lawena today and I'm having some issues.

It isn't disabling the hitsounds and chat text properly, I have to do it in game through the console and even then I can only disable the hitsounds, the chat text still stays on, any help on this?

I tried manually editing lawena configs to include the commands but it still won't work, when viewing the demos I still hear the hitsounds and can see the chat

ok, first thing, are you even using lawena properly, when launching does your hud tab display: None (kill notices), when launching game are the following settings checked off:

1. disable combat text
2. disable hit sounds
3. disable voice chat

Absolutly, I triple checked everything, I'm not the kind of person that skips stuff, I learned the read-me, the faq, forums and stuff and couldn't figure out my problem.

Everything is checked and I made sure to save more than once.

Tf2 is loading with the default HUD and kill notices only, the only problem is that it's not disabling hitsounds and chat properly, and now I can't do it inside the game either through the commands.

Make the demo files "read only". For some reason, hitsounds, configs and whatnot will sometimes transfer through demos and sometimes bypass Lawena's disable options.

bump, still didn't manage to solve it...

Tried changing cfg folder properties, redownloading lawena, even input the commands through the console, but it still doesn't work and still shows the hitsound / chat

Navigate to the Lawena Recording Tool folder, cfg folder and open settings.cfg. Make sure hud_saytext_time and tf_dingaling are set to 0, then add the following in the end

alias hud_saytext_time ""
alias tf_dingaling ""

Tried that, even tried putting the commands directly into the lawena autoexec cfg instead of the settings.cfg, and tried on both as well, didn't work :(
