The new forum index is rad when I'm really lazy and just wanna check recent posts out, but it's not as useful as the old category list when I get really bored with nothing to do and want to go through and check up on almost the whole forum. If we could get another meta page (like the "all threads" page) that just shows a list of categories/subforums in their sections like it did before, that would be great.

I agree on the gradients. Also, what does the colour coding mean? Is green 5+ frags? Maybe have something saying that, because to me it looks like a read/unread indicator on normal boards.
Mind you, I only go to the actual forum page like once a month, since I'm on the site so much I rarely miss anything on the forum sidebar.

At the time of this post, green means 5+, blue means TFTV post, and grey is everything else.
