Mouse not registering

Just installed tf2 on arch linux, and my mouse only registers some clicks. steelseries kinzu v2. As an example, when I am playing demo, and I try to shoot a sticky, it will only register the press (or it won't register at all) and I have to click again to stop the sticky launcher from charging up. Not sure why it could be happening, I don't think its a mouse problem because in windows it was fine.

You might need different drivers for linux?

This happened to me after the brutal legends promo update. I kinda fixed it by binding a key to -attack and just pressing that intermittently but still half my clicks did nothing. At first I thought it was an X issue, but I don't think that is the case.

Some googling gives this https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/1249 which conveniently tells us that the problem is with raw input. However it looks like Valve knows about it and apparently they were supposed to fix it... Still looks like there are numerous bug reports, so it isn't fixed. I guess you are going to have to play with no raw input if you want to play on linux.

While I also use arch, the bug reports are from multiple distros, so I don't think it is an arch specific issue.

Thanks, that fixed it. Shame about no raw input though
