Thoughts on these headphones for gaming

I know we have a hardware section, but I wanted everyones thought on these Sennheiser HD 428 SC headphones for gaming. Mine old ones have been duct taped and still barely work, so I've been looking for a good deal on a new pair. The problem is that I have never used or even heard this brand with my own ears. I know they are used for music often, but do they work for games, especially since they are closed. I would think it would be to hard of a base for gaming, but since they are priced at 36.99 this weekend, are they worth it and are they good for gaming since I don't really listen to music with headphones?

Thanks

Not sure if you're looking for positional audio, like you can get with their G4ME line, but if you're looking for a somewhat reliable and comfortable set of headphones they are pretty decent.

For the price range they have pretty good mids and bass so it's pretty good for gaming, but I wouldn't expect them to have anything specifically for gaming besides the fact that they're closed.

But in the end, I guess you can't really go wrong with Sennheiser.

Looks like they went up in price?

But reading the reviews it seems a lot of people have the same opinion on the cord being too thin/short.

Other than that, if you can get them for the $37, it looks like a really good deal. Sennheiser has quality stuff.

I have a pair of Sennheisers but I don't use them for gaming. If you can get them at that price, get them. They're some of the best headphones out there.
