Anyone know anything about Smart TV's?

For a bedroom... Between these two unless you know of a better one around the same price.

I'd go for the LG one too. Solely for the purpose of webOS 3.5 and my 2 previous TV's have both been LG and I have nothing to complain about them.

Prefer SmartTVs using Android OS tbh.
Early smart TVs had the tendency to stop being supported by certain apps as they used their own OS - 2013 Sony Bravia's with BBC iPlayer for example.

Sony, Philips and I think Sharp all use Android TV which is the closest thing to a standardised platform.

Panasonic's "My Home Screen" 2.0 is includes 4k Netflix, pretty sure it's built off the Firefox TV OS.
Samsung uses Smart Hub but moans at you for not using certain apps in the middle of the menu - kinda like an ad?
There are also some cheaper brands that use a version of Roku TV, so if you've ever used a streaming stick, you may be more familiar with one of them.

Your flag is barbados but you posted two UK sites, assuming your budget is about £350,4k, 43"?

I can pickup a Sony KD-43XE7073 for £300 if that interests you, using my staff discount

Hi thank you for the reply.

My flag is Barbados because I have a poor sense of humour, I live in the UK, London.

That's an incredibly generous offer, do you have any links to this? A google search is coming up with 43" screen for the Sony but the prices seem to be around £500. Do you recommend this TV over the two I posted in the OP?

edit: To clarify it does interest me a lot.

Just my internal staff sales, i mis-read part of the page though, apologies for that.
It's a refurb, but Sony refurbs can be incredibly stupid. My personal TV was returned because it was black instead of silver.
At my office we have 3 returned because the remote didn't come with batteries. Bought refurbs for my brother, mum, dad and a few other TF2 people and they haven't had any problems.

Trying not to shill my own company too hard but I've never liked samsung TVs, my girlfriend had one at it used to fail to connect to WiFi all the time possibly better now (although they might still lose money of every TV they sell)
My old Tv was an LG which I liked, haven't used webOS personally though.

I had a feeling its a refurbished one. Not that it matters providing that its a functioning fully working TV.

Can we discuss this in private, via steam or mobile?

edit: Do you have a store, if so where are you based?

My experiences with samsung software on the tv aren't the best. But if it all works like intended it is great!
