"Major League Baseball teams using season records from 1991 to 1993 showed that the team that had just completed eastward travel would give up more than one run than usual in every game"

On a related note, if you need cash money in Europe, your best exchange rate will come from an ATM (just withdraw all at once to cut down on fees). Credit cards are good too.

few tips for you yankee doodles:
-if you end up in Birmingham, don't.
-if anyone offers you tea, nod and smile politely. Don't make eye contact, do call them "mate".
-don't disturb anyone in a queue
-in pubs we drink "beer", an alcoholic beverage unique to the eurasian continent. Don't be afraid, it's very nice and of high quality.
-if you find yourself in a pub, make sure to mumble "alrightyouokmatehowyoudoing" in the general direction of bar. This will put you good standing with the regulars. Don't sit in any chairs otherwise you might find yourself badly injured.
-if someone adresses you as "duck", they have not confused what team fortress team you play for, it's an affectionate name for young people.
-if you see sunshine, don't panic! it happens occasionally. continue with your business and make sure to tell everyone you see about the weather.
-We don't have any sense of humour or comedy here. English people will love you if you keep a straight face.
