Watch Legend of Galactic Heroes. It's over 100 episodes and it will redpill you to some degree as you watch it. Really cool stuff.

Try princess tutu. The title is kind of girly but it's a fairytale type drama. The 4 main characters are assigned roles from an existing book and are forced to play out the story, even if they already know what is supposed to happen to the characters.

THEBILLDOZER
Akagi - Gambling prodigy. The show is about mahjong but you can learn the basic rules from watching it

how do you recommend akagi but not kaiji, which btw, is way better than akagi (more variety in gambling, not just mahjong all the time) plus kaiji shows way more emotion than akagi

here are some of my must watch

kaiji s1 and s2
code geass
gurren lagann
tiger & bunny
darker than black (s1)
fate zero
baccano
one punch man
samurai champloo

I recommended akagi because i enjoyed it a lot more. Kaiji is probably more accessible but why wouldn't i recommend a show I liked better. Plus then you can go read tenhou-doori which is the best work fkmt has made bar none.

fair enough. fkmt is great even though making a mahjong match last 20 years is a bit crazy. i really enjoyed strongest man kurosawa.

This is also a great work, and probably the most accessible of his. If you haven't read zero I would recommend it but there's a lot of convoluted math puzzles the mc has to figure out that gets a little annoying from a reader standpoint.

Vulcananime is trash

I think your attitude is trash. As long as you watch whatever you like and enjoy it then all's good. You got no bidness criticizing other people's anime taste, especially when you try to argue that one show is 'deeper' than another or whatever lameass homo excuse. Read a fucking book if you want to be intellectually challenged, anime, comics, and cartoons is for entertainment a priori.

Anime will NEVER be as deep as any of these pieces of reading material, so just stuff it. Sit the fuck down nigga, and just watch and enjoy whatever the fuck you like. Leave the ANALysis to the queers of 4chan.

Pankey you must end this madness!

After rereading some of my books (the Jung one in particular) I have realized that Weeb Pank is my Shadow and that it is not possible to kill him. However, there IS still a work around for this. It is very clearly stated by YHVH in Genesis Chapter 3 that one can dominate and overcome their inferior nature (the predatory cat of sin that coucheth at thine doorstep). And so I must subsume Weeb Pank into the totality of my Persona to become complete rather than disavowing, repressing or denying such an identity within myself.

And so now I understand what the REAL waste of time was: My shitty friends who judged me for liking anime, or having my own unique and independent interests. Those who enabled me to do drugs and belittled me for my differences instead of acceppting me like a true friend would. They were the problem all along and not necessarily my anime consumption. Although I am more than willing to admit that I was obsessed to an enormous degree, I think that if dealt with in moderation and with a level head anime is not necessarily an evil.

Poor friends are a far worse thing.

I'm not going back to anime. But I'm not going to irrationally hate on it either, those are both wrong. I need to pursue a higher path. My own path, so that I may truly be Beyond Good And Evil.

The dialogless clip of Anakin nodding reluctantly at Padme as he leaves for battle is a million times more succinct and better representation of their relationship than any garbage about sand that George Lucas could have written. This is actually legit some good stuff.

what made me enjoy the series more than the deep emotional connections that were forged to pave a perfect path into revenge of the sith is that the growing dissent and seeds of rebellion are shown more clearly in this series than all other post-attack of the clones star wars series' combined

also the growth of boba fett from fatherless child into ruthless bounty hunter under the wing of cad bane is some really deep stuff

Even better is that if you watch every episode back to back it's still shorter than any of the prequels and yet you feel like you got more content out of it. Genndy Tartakovsky is a good guy and deserves to make more stuff.
