Fixing push to talk?

My most comfortable Mumble PTT key is Shift. When I hold down shift, and press a number to switch weapons, it changes me to a different class. For example, if I am making a callout on rollout, and need to switch to my primary, I press Shift+1, and respawn as Scout. How can I fix this? Unbind shift from tf2?

you must have installed a class-quick-switch script sometime.

look through your configs for something like
bind +something "shift"
and delete it.

would probably be in your autoexec.

I see 2 that say:
bind "shift" "+mate_joinclass"
bind "rshift" "+mate_joinclass"

Would that be it?

Erased the files and joined a local server to test it. Doesn't seem to have worked. Any other ideas? Checked out my other cfg files and can't seem to find a similar bind.

Check config.cfg for shift binds and remove them if there are any.
