Can't you just do a poll the same way as the season awards? Just have everyone added from prem and ask them
Prem/Invite != Every player who will be playing this season
Moist_PenguinAs for a poll it may be hard to prevent people from making alts to influence a vote, which while it may seem like people wouldnt go to that effort for a tf2 comp poll, people have put more effort in for less reward before.
We could use a strawpoll where you can only submit once per computer. I doubt there would be that much malicious intent
Let's make our own whitelist for next season while leaving LAN with the previous global whitelist. This way we can show the admins what a majority of their playerbase supports as most of us don't agree to the ground rule of the global whitelist that as many unlocks should be allowed as possible.
The whitelist that just got made was just some advice made by a small percentage of the player base. If the admins see that most players support banning the quick fix, many of whom might quit if it gets unbanned, they'll listen to the larger constituency, especially if it gets some top level support
We unbanned the quick fix, solemn vow, soda popper, and pomsom after a season where everyone hated how loose the whitelist was.
Edit: spelling. Typing on a phone is hard
pendaYou say you want to show the most skill possible but you want to ban the xbow? Not enough teams do arrow building to make it a worthy ban and if you know a team is arrow building it's not that hard to abuse/pressure them.
I think the xBow is the least of our problems when they just unbanned the quick fix, solemn vow, and soda popper
I'd personally ban xBow, but that's pretty controversial, so I've left it out. I personally think that it makes uber be built to quickly which causes stalemates and rewards bad positioning as you can easily get 100+ health from super long range.
The entire point of tf2 is to play for fun while showing the most skill possible. I've kept the weapons nobody uses while getting rid of the crutches that are any degree of aids to play against.
With the current whitelist, we're keeping things that are annoying just because some people in the invite illuminati said that it's better to unban as many weapons as possible for the sake of it.
why are jarate, machina, and rr allowed on pug champ? They got banned.
Honestly, rewind should be current whitelist and next season should be the rewind whitelist, if not more things banned. I don't understand why we're allowing weapons we're on the fence about. What's to gain?
lul, this new whitelist is so aids.
No one plays tf2 for any reason other than to have fun (except b4nny). Why are we unbanning weapons that make the game more annoying? For the sake of it?
wonder how many invite teams are going to fold because of this whitelist?
closing thread for time being. New whitelist sounds aids
Don't have the time to commit to playing full time this season. I'd like to sub though.
I've previously played Medic in 2 seasons of UGC and pre-seasoned with a low open team last season, but had to leave due to school.
Thanks in advance to anyone who picks me up.
BaBsPaddie left FROYO...........anybody know who the replacement will be?
clockwork is probably cut from NRG and is potentially playing at Rewind
