The Count of Monte Cristo - by Alexander Dumas

One of the best revenge stories ever written.

I just read The Long Walk where a Polish cavalry officer talks about escaping a Soviet work camp in Siberia and walking 4000 miles to India. Incredible book.

#55 ESEA season starting soon, let's talk? in TF2 General Discussion
KillingThe previous client developer was fired, not relocated, and then ESEA took time to find someone who is capable of doing that specialized role, but now we have a team of people. ESEA has put controls and policies in place to ensure that this doesn't happen again and continues to go through steps to ensure that everything is operated responsibly.

The scapegoat was fired for developing malware. His replacement(s) now work under COURT ORDERED controls and policies.

Good luck to everyone who plays in ESEA, I hope it is a competitive and entertaining season. It's not for me though. Lpkane's rude, dismissive, and condescending attitude towards ESEA's entire customer base make me cringe at the thought of paying to play a free game in his league.

#23 rip open/IM/main esea articles in TF2 General Discussion
Fzero So, my question is this; if there is a good Cevo push, would people like Cevo only articles?

Yes. Put them on this site though with links to CEVO's stuff when it's relevant.

#6 Mad Men (show) in Off Topic

Mostly the show gets more and more depressing. It's really good but it leans further towards being a social commentary and away from an event driven drama with something exciting happening every episode.

#160 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion

People are scared of the TF2 community fracturing and it is sad seeing them hang on to ESEA because of that. Think about it long term. Even if tons of teams go in two or three directions we will all drift over to where the competition and community pride ends up. This next season is already going to be janky. CEVO, UGC, ESEA, ETF2LNA? Don't worry about it. Play with your friends, enjoy the game, try out the competition in other leagues, and see where we end up.

And THERE ARE OTHER LAN EVENTS. i49 was not a league lan. Just because we didn't win doesn't mean it's not the most awesome thing to happen in TF2 so far. It grew naturally out of the TF2 community recognizing a good event and wanting to be there. We are not going to have an i49 of our own in NA next season but lets start working on it instead of feeding money into a company whose co-owner comes on to these forums and posts "lol" in a thread full of our grievances.

Rayshud besthud. Thanks for the quick update. It took me two crashes to figure out what was going on tonight. I'm glad I can get this re-installed so quickly. Also thanks to the helpful people above explaining how to increase health font size.

Does the cap point extend below? Half the fun of med on ultiduo is dancing on the point or doing the last 30 damage and finishing the cap.

#45 Team Names and Casts in TF2 General Discussion

Its not about being taken seriously or attracting sponsors. This is about the first time someone on the internet has a chance to see TF2 being played competitively. What do they notice? What sticks in their mind - is it the fast pace, awesome teamwork, or sick plays?

I'm surprised this never came up before to be honest. Baby Punching Marathon gets tons of coverage.

#209 ESEA Quick Fix Ruling in TF2 General Discussion

The quick fix is NOT boring. It is a more dynamic way to play the game.

The heavy and sniper classes ARE boring. They are a less dynamic way to play the game.

We are arguing about balance in a game with NINE different classes. This has always been a game of rock, paper, scissors. The beauty of TF2 has always been how so many different play-styles can interact in a single FPS game, forcing players to react to different situations.

Banning the quick fix makes 6v6 more about following the rules of advantages and less about competitors adapting to and overcoming their opponent's play.
