I've also been really enjoying rogue-lite shooters like Ziggurat, Immortal Redneck and Tower of Guns lately, but they are all 15-20$ right now so again watch for a sale on steam or GOG

Serious Sam First Encounter and Second Encounter are both excellent and frequently under 10$ (6$ each on GOG right now)

if you can find any of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games on sale they are some of the best single player fps games ever. Clear Sky is only 10$ normally but is the worst of the three (still good)

E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is simply amazing, offbeat fps/rpg hybrid with not much story but lots of possible approaches and replayability

Postal 2 is fun but hasn't aged that well

RAGE is only 10$ now, and while kind of short and not amazing is still a fun game

Hard Reset is 15$ so watch for a sale, very fun shooter with an old school feel, don't get the Redux version though it's not as good

played well in pugs, I'm not really a fan of opening up the side of balcony though

Not one. So, the DOJ has a new guy, who was just confirmed by the Senate 94-6 two weeks ago (i.e. with overwhelming support from both parties), and THAT guy started investigating. My two biggest complaints with xbow:
-interferes with fundamentals (uber tracking and crit heals, I can't believe how many ostensibly open+ medics barely grasp these basic ideas)
-allows your teammates to do dumb shit or make glaring mistakes but be much harder to punish

but at this point I'd far prefer crossbow stay and all the other dumb shit go back to being banned, I only ever started playing 6s in the first place because stupid items and classes weren't used. Most of those unlocks have gotten far more broken since 4 years ago (or just didn't exist yet)

An item not being particularly useful wasn't an argument for allowing it back then and it shouldn't be now
