They could sell their country. Pretty sure some states/rich dudes would be ready to buy it.

this is what i get with esea links
choochoomustardoverlordPersonally, I find the change very frustrating, as I feel like my playstyle (ie I was never exactly a pipe god) has been affected a lot in particular, and a lot of shots that would have hit before no longer do.
it's almost as though you have to employ skill to play the game as demo now
i mean you don't, but you can't be quite as braindead as before i guess
LOL, this 1000x times!
Also hooli, i dont know if you are sober when you play or not, but besides rollers, projectiles go where you aim and have a predictable path. RNG elements HAVE BEEN nerfed since the damage variance of pipes has been reduced.
What's exactly so hard about aiming stickies, or (in the perspective you can't) wait for them to land, for example, when you are locking down a choke behind the first enemy that got in? It's not exactly like you can't afford to prefire sticks everywhere and everytime...
Finally, mustardoverlord, if you indend this rant to be read by somebody else than the esea players circle please dont use esea links as I believe we can't see them if not registered (at least i cant). So please use images.
JohnThey did a fairly decent job of giving every hero a REALLY HARD counter, so it comes down to teams being diverse in their strategies and their hero pools more than picking a standard strategy and sticking to it consistently.
[...]
I'd imagine that top players are going to have a solid 4-5 heroes that they can play at the highest level so they can swap out as necessary to counter certain strategies and hero compositions.
Major issue would be having a rock/paper/scissors based game where if you are alive and the hard counter is played by the opponents you are completely screwed, thus making all the fights ultra predictable :/
Hello, I'm Twiggy, a french player.
- Provide a link to your stream
http://www.twitch.tv/twiggywan
- Provide a brief description of your stream
I'm quite bored these days so I want to share my boredom and infect more people.
I stream TF2 + the other games i play when it's not scrim time.
- State your country of residence
France
- Give a brief background of your league/division/team history
I played one full year of ETF2L div 4, now looking to get into div 3 / mid tier.
Mostly playing demoman and medic.
A lot of fun lobbies are also featured.
Thanks in advance =)
SideshowHALLELUJAH I can't get killed by a 100 damage sticky from 4 lightyears away.
EDIT: Nice little bonus for the jumping community too, cool from valve. Quickylauncher fixed too, is it viable?
Yes B)
RadmanId hate to see this be the last "Valve's Game". Especially if one unlock proves to be pretty good and dominate the game. Part of the fun is seeing players counter and play around the unlocks, as well as them being abused.
Im extremely excited for this.
Who knows what will happen next 8)
PAPASTAINTwiggyMy tryhard avice regarding a usable lineup :nah dude, if you're allowed the vita saw you damn well better use that disruption of one of the most important mechanics of TF2 with some pride
- Medic (xbow/quickfix/ubersaw)
Idk, to me that's not that big of a deal compared to clutch ubersaw slices :p
sky_How Can Mirrors Be Real If Our Eyes Aren't Real
Jaden pls
skeejWhen i was told about this i thought there would be a pick/ban system involved like in mobas (right? I never play/watch that stuff but i believe before the game both get turns at picking/banning certain heroes???)
Turns out this is just a pure, unadulterated, "allow everything" match? Thats not really interesting imo. Also, Valve could perfectly fine get behind a matchmaking system with item pick/bans i think...
The thing is we can't ban stock weapons to my knowledge, so it would be very easy to just ban a few weapons and play regular 6v6.
Would like to see a pick/ban system where we could ban stickies, or stock medigun for example.
My tryhard avice regarding a usable lineup :
- Pocket soldier(any rocket launcher/reserve shooter/whip) OR pocket heavy (GRU/sandvich/stock minigun)
- Standard demo (can change items on mid or on last holds)
- Medic (xbow/quickfix/ubersaw)
- engineer (pomson/short circuit/gunslinger) OR combat spy (enforcer/dead ringer)
- Scout (either sandman/cleaver or mad milk/atomizer, any primary usable)
- A roaming class. It can be anything, from a market gardener solly to a jarate sniper, a stock roamer, a second scout, a tomislav heavy, a revolver spy, anything. If it was me i'd run a revolver spy as well as the already described engineer.
SwannA very good idea. Kudos to everyone involved!
oh you <3
Side question : is there anything like razer copperhead / eblue cobra shape out there at the moment?
SeagullAdmirableJust a first step, hopefully we can experiment further with simplified class limits like a universal 1 or 2 or dare I say no limit?! Disgusting filth :o
Really hoping you all remove the class limits entirely. It makes it much more interesting for spectators (at least for me personally), and it allows teams to change up their class composition depending on the type of strategy they want to run. I also think it might be hard to determine overall unlock balance when some of it could be innately overpowered in a 6v6 class limit format. Either way, I can't wait to watch :)
That's something we *could* do during the second evening, but shh nothing is decided yet..
Don't forget enforcer spies.
And tide turner demomen.
And Fists of Steel heavies through traps.
And Vaccinator.
And everything else ;)
I think comp.tf can help filling the gap between pubbers and competitive players.
When i first got interested in Starcraft : Brood War, I spent a fair amount of time on Liquipedia reading about build orders, past competitions and great stars of the game. It featured lots of related links to interviews, replays, or casts.
I think we can help comp.tf grow and be the gateway newbies need by adding/compiling more and more tactics/strategic/basic stuff about the game. So that everytime someone asks a common question on reddit, we know where to redirect them.
