Also, spy made CTF incredibly annoying. Did you bring the enemy flag out of their base a decent amount? No problem bro, just go spy and touch it the flag to reset the return timer. Do that about five times and eventually your team will take it home.
To be fair, I believe spies couldn't pick up the flag while cloaked (I believe it was possible at one point but it got patched). Still, pretty much the only point of spy in CTF is to reset the return timer. Regardless, I think every single class except scout and soldier make CTF annoying.
as TLR mentioned in one of these threads before, there's no movement gimmick in this game to make CTF interesting. In Quake, you had strafejumping. In TFC, you had conc jumping (sick conc jumps at that). Above all of this, ubers, sentries, sticky traps, and heavies, it makes CTF pretty boring and annoying honestly.
We've tried CTF in multiple seasons, and I don't think too many people had a good time.

Ggglygyi cant explain how badly i wanted this to be fanfiction when i clicked on it
was hoping the same
DrPloxoThe degreaser only further enables the things that make pyro incredibly strong. The +65% switch speed allows for flare shots and axtinguisher hits to be more reliably executed.
The stock flamethrower does the same area denial and reflects of the degreaser.
Just playing devil's advocate here, but if it's so broken, why isn't it used and abused more often? The only time I ever consider it incredibly annoying is gullywash last, and even then it's still beatable.
DrPloxoThe reason it isn't banned is as simple as when pyro is used: last defenses. The area denial and reflects are more important in that instance than the crit-switch items. For that, it's identical to the stock.
Natascha heavy was stupid shit, and you pretty much only saw it while defending last and gravelpit C. People abused the fuck out of that until it got banned.
I don't have a problem with the degreaser, but if something is really broken or op about it, no one has done anything to abuse it to the point where it's unfair.
i can't help but to think you guys are talking about this when saying mango: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZZUMjoxfZA&t=16s

Will trade Soldier's Stash or a vintage Trophy Belt for the medic dove, because GIMME THE DOVE PLS.
lynaWhy is everyone hating on this? Cause it's stacked?
Because they will likely go undefeated and win esea-open with little to no practice at all. This roster would actually do decent in invite, and they are playing in open, l0l. I like the guys on the roster, but they should at least be in intermediate.
Applesauzcyzermr. frajeely, happy bday btw, you will probably have to upgrade your mobo/proc/ram tbh.. probably dont want to just pay for a very very slight upgrade to your processor
Wait, I share a birthday with TheFragile? Best birthday present yet! .....only present yet.
klananaToday is my significant others bday too. WHAT A DAY.
Every day is my birthday, as Basik made known I suppose. :p
Also, huge thanks for everyone's input.
hookyAll you can upgrade to is a Phenom II (your motherboard only supports up to AM3, not AM3+), which is what I had. Lots of stuttering at 3.2 GHz, I doubt it would be much better at 3.4.I recently got a new computer with an i5 3570k and it's really great at stock speeds for streaming. Looking at the above, it seems like you want to go with this if you don't want to overclock. i7s, IMO, are really just marginally better i5s. You pay ~$100 more for a .1 GHz increase, hyper threading, and like two other features. Not worth it IMO. I've heard that FX processors (AMD's best processors) are not really that great for streaming.I understand you don't really want to upgrade your motherboard, but you're pretty much going to have to do that to upgrade your CPU. GPU could probably be upgraded as well, but I wouldn't worry about that as streaming puts the most pressure on your CPU. As for recommendations, this is what I have:Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-231-460GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161350&Tpk=his%20radeon%20hd%206870%201gbI doubt you'd be willing to pay for one, but an SSD is a nice investment. Not important, but most things load faster, especially the OS. Still, I'd focus on the motherboard and processor, but keep this in mind.
Thanks :] I'll check it out.
klananaI literally just upgraded from your same exact pc. UPGRADE IT ALL.Best 500 bucks i ever spent.
What did you upgrade to? I check out your stream from time to time and it runs incredibly smooth.
is AMD just out of the question? I don't mind spending money, it's just that I didn't feel like practically rebuilding my computer from scratch unless I had to. If doing a big upgrade is needed, I would really appreciate a few links to get me started.
