#704 I've updated some huds in Customization
glassHypnotizeWhiskerrrOi, Can you update Rayshud? Raysfire gave permission to anyone who wants to change/update it, Since he "abandoned" the project, Thank you.
Shouldn't it already be up to date? also if is not whats need to be fixed?

hi, i came over here hoping someone would take up rayshud. as far as i can tell, the only broken things center around the mym update. rating casual matches bad/good/etc is broken. i have not yet been able to find the ping limiting button on the casual "homepage." etc.

however rays hinted that he's gotten quite a few complains about broken stuff. that's just what i've noticed.

Raysfire stated that he's "officially going on a long hiatus from TF2 HUD editing".
As for today, CriticalFlaw is keeping an updated branch of rayshud. Rating matches, ping limit buttons are fixed there.

#40 Highschool books in Off Topic
Marxistany HS that makes kids read Dostoevsky and Bulgakov would be one hell of a school

Every post-soviet school is a hell - you aren't wrong here.
I was forced to read pretty much all of Russian classic and it was super boring at the time. Few years after school I decided to (re-)read some of these works by choice and some of them were really good.
Here's some suggestions:

I do not recommend to start "War and Peace" in the highschool, unless you are really interested in the early 19th century historical period and the Napoleon's invasion of Russia in particular. I tried to start it a several times in the school years, but couldn't past the point where people were getting wasted while making bets and dancing with a bear (very beginning).

#63 WhatisOneThingYouThinkWouldHelpCompTF2TheMost? in Off Topic
Show Content
  • Significant rework of classes in attempt to make them (somewhat equally) viable in some adapted competitive environment (i.e. not limit tweaking by trying to fit all classes in current metas).
  • Tweak maps/gamemodes for competitive. For example: reduce spawn times and increase push speed on pl_ maps if match is 6v6.
  • Weapons balancing is obvious and goes with the first point. As the result whitelists should become redundant.
  • A few small tournaments using gamemode we got after all of above. Tweaking stuff based on feedback from these tournaments.
  • A big tournament. With Gaben and Source 2 transiction announce.
  • Competitive mode is locked for new players. They are required to pass all-new tutorial, that's now bounded with Casual mode (gives tips and instruction during the gameplay). After few tens of Casual levels, they are getting access to the advanced tutorial that, upon completion, will give access to the Comp mode.

Oh. "One thing"... Bugfixing/optimization, I guess...

#30 Big "Meet Your Match" survey in TF2 General Discussion
dagrinchI really wish there was a question asking which tf2 community you found the survey on, it would be interesting to see the disparity in answers between communities.

I wasn't 100% sure where the survey will be posted, so I didn't included that question. But I made a snapshot backup of survey data just before posting it here. So, I believe, it will be possible to see the impact of the responses collected here.

GentlemanJonCan I get a link to the raw results?

I was going to post raw data alongside with survey results. But if you really want it now, you can email me, add me on Steam or PM here.

#1 Big "Meet Your Match" survey in TF2 General Discussion

Hello, comrades!

It's been almost a month since the Meet Your Match update. So I wonder what the community thinks of it now.

It has already been published on the /r/tf2 and /r/truetf2 yesterday, so if you filled out the form, there is no need to repeat.

You can fill out the survey HERE.

If you just want to take a look at the current survey results you can go here.
