#9 Heavy Boxing in [S4L] Winner gets my Unusual Hat! in TF2 General Discussion

You posted 30minutes in advance, why not post a day or 2 in advance? If you post a tournament or some give away, you should post EVERYWHERE related and get as many people to be eligible as soon as possible. Not just 1-3 per site.

#16 Negative Impulse looking to sponsor 6v6 in Recruitment (looking for team)
MR_SLINJust so you know Jakob, every team at an ESEA-Invite or ESEA-Intermediate level has found a way to take care of their own server, so you need to make a competitive offer in order to acquire that kind of team.

Mumble servers are even more meaningless because you can typically bum off of someone else's Mumble server if you can't get one of your own. Also, most companies that sell TF2 servers bundle a Mumble server with it already.

Still appreciate your support of TF2 though!

Alright with a small sponsor you don't have to bum off anyone else with their mumble. Getting a server is cheap I know that; but it is still nice to have a sponsor that will pay for it, it saves you/ your team money. Sure it only saves 15 dollars a month. What can 15 dollars buy? Not much but still money in your pocket and not ours.

#13 Negative Impulse looking to sponsor 6v6 in Recruitment (looking for team)
thrasherG1You want a lan team but you can't pay league fees?
I don't think he was talking about the ESEA LAN. I've talked to lots of smaller sponsors over the years who just like to have players who LAN together at random LANs (like ATL, pax, fites, GXL or whatever) to promote the sponsor by wearing a tshirt or something.

I will be honest I was told to try to find a LAN team, but maybe that was just the skill level we were looking for.

We will pay league fees also, just not at the start. After 1 season and you are a good team, we will promote you further and further. Like if a open team just starts wiping the floor on everyone and goes all Classic Mix^ on people then yea we will pay some big money. But why would we pay big money(IE: mousepads, mice, headsets ETC...) and have a team die after 6 matches? Not a good business plan from that point of view.

Even if you are just an average open team, 6wins 8loses (Or something like that) We still might be able to get you your league fees and what not. That part is not up to me up to my boss.

Thank you guys for the interest,
Jakob.

#7 Negative Impulse looking to sponsor 6v6 in Recruitment (looking for team)

ESEA did start, but we won't pay league right off the bat, we are small so we can't invest gobs amount of money into a single team. Just bad business right their.

WILDFIREI don't think you're lying....

Wasn't calling that, I was calling on myself on how I post 13 minutes apart stating that we can get a mumble after I just said I wasn't sure. Sorry if I gave offense. I still love you <3

#3 Negative Impulse looking to sponsor 6v6 in Recruitment (looking for team)

I know it isn't much, but a server is a server, also a confirmed 13 slot server (1 extra for SourceTV) We can also provide a Mumble to... 100% sure. You prolly think I am lying but what do i get out of that? 6 people see a lying community and start posting about it.... We lose business so I am not lying on that one.

If you think of it math wise, we save you about $15.00 a month for Mumble/ game server. Not much... Not much at all. Stay around a season, we pay ESEA fees you start saving a bit more (Whole team after 4 months $168.00) Bit more pricey, but still not much really.

Free is free right?

#1 Negative Impulse looking to sponsor 6v6 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hello, TF2 community.

Negative Impulse is looking to reach out to the Team Fortress 2 6v6 community. We are in CS:GO, Black ops 2, now we are looking for TF2.

What we will provide:
Team Speak Mumble (If I can not get you a mumble I am sorry, message me for details on that)
A 12 slot server so you can do your scrim and everything on it.

ESEA league fees could be paid for you as a team, but not right away. Maybe after a season we can do that.

We would love a team that has been together for a season or two together already, maybe even a possible LAN able team. Please add me on Steam and we can sort out the details and I can awnser any of your questions.

Thanks very much for your time,
Jakob "Nin2246" Hindman

#4 Team looking for IM team to kick our shit in in Mentoring

Mr Slin I always have disagreed with that statement. If the other team plays more aggressive and push when they shouldn't the team should learn to act upon that and win every time. Just because they have a better DM/ game sense doesn't mean an open team won't learn or pick a thing up.

#1 Those in need of servers in Off Topic

http://my.fragready.com/cart.php

They are providing Mumble to, played on their server for CS:GO had some nice hit registry. But for TF2 I dunno if they are awesome.

Figure I let some people know if they need a mumble/ server to scrim on.

EDIT: The Mumble starts at 2.80 for 10 slots.
The TF2 server starts at 9 dollars for 12 slots, they have some 500FPS server and what not.

#5 Esport spitballing thread in TF2 General Discussion

Organizations have a website, websites "could" have merchandise, will have ads, donations, coaching lessons. Honestly they just have to be thoughtful of what could sell.... The player base/ fan base is anywhere from 15-30, kids in high school have the highest amount of money to pay for things. I work 15 hours a week live at friends (No rent no bills graduated) I can buy anything and everything right now. Others can to. Hell people spend up to 75 dollars an hour fro Starcraft 2 lessons, why not spend X dollars to learn from B4nny on how to demo-man?

Hell have the team go to the LANs and set up a booth to sell merchandise like a garage band would. Sell mouse pads signed by everyone, sell shirts, key chains. Yea you got to pay to make them, but that is part of making some money.

TL:DR be creative, sell product.

Before I sound even more of an idiot with no real brain... I never been to a LAN I been to convention centers for some table top RTS games and TCGs but not a LAN so I think they are the same....

#3 Esport spitballing thread in TF2 General Discussion
GgglygyI've never understood how a sponsor can work in a smaller market (TF2 when compared to LoL or SC2.)

If anyone has a notion on how a profit can be turned by sponsoring TF2 teams, I would like to hear it.

I quit TF2 a few months ago... Picked up CS:GO... Any how.

I walked up to my; who I been working for about a month now, asked him "Sir, would you like to sponsor a team? An e-Sports team?" He asked the general questions on something "new" to him. Told him how the company name/ team gets promoted (Steaming, tournaments, podcast, shout casting, fan base... ETC) He asked for how much to sponsor for this would cost. Replied with a simple "Not to much actually, servers are $13 dollars, a voIP is 2 dollars. So 15 all together." I also asked if he could pay league fees for ESEA (Season started already so we won't be this season but next one!) Took 2 weeks to get an answer from my boss, but he is 100% up for a full season of ESEA.

How will he get money from it?
We build websites so you see turn group technology and be like who the fuck are they? You google search and find out. Someone ask if you know anyone who can build a website, you say I saw this company for a cs;go team. Company just made a few bucks. Whole season of ESEA + server/ mumble is only I think 250 over 4months. We build 1 website that will pay for 8 months. We made profit.

#5 Carniver Scout LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

When I played everyday he would always win in MGE. Ringed for me a few times if I recall correctly would always work well with following or helping watch flank.

Is a solid pick up for a open-mid team
