#8 Sticky Traps in Q/A Help

The thing about sticky traps is that people know there's always going to be one and they will always check the traditional spots. You can still use this to delay the enemy team, as was covered by others above, but if you want to frag then you're going to need to use your brain.

You will notice patterns the more games you play. You will notice that over time people will go through some specific routes more often than other specific routes. Whilst everyone expects a sticky trap in a chokepoint or in a traditional old spot, they will not expect it in a place that is more remote. I'm not saying you should put traps in any random spot and gamble, but instead to observe patterns in scout/solly/demo/medic routes and put your stickies where they are likely to go.

For example: In badlands, when the enemy team is pushing into your second, they may inspect choke and expect a trap waiting for them at the point, but few are those that check the bush leading up to ramp. Even though they are not forced to walk over the bush (whereas they are forced to go through choke and go on the point), it is habit for many players to do so anyway.

So instead of mimicking other people's most likely very outdated sticky traps (like the example I gave lol), you would do better to follow the line of thought here presented and adapt to the game. This will prove itself a valuable tool and keep you in the game even when the enemy has figured all your novel sticky traps out.

Ah yes, the age old argument of "you're not allowed to criticize someone if you don't volunteer yourself and do a better job". As though we should be satisfied with mediocrity.

#24 ETF2L S27 W7: Arctic Foxes vs. LEGO in Matches

That's some bullshit lmfao. Arctic Foxes Internet Defense Force needs to stop talking. The whole idea behind having to persuade your team to grant someone a default win is clear enough evidence in-of-itself that there was the possibility to still play the game. By further justifying such a snake move to prevent unexpected from reaching playoffs (read: the exact same as throwing the game against LEGO on purpose) is anti-competitive and purposely matchfixing.

1.6 Committing or supporting fraud is strictly forbidden

Committing or supporting the act of fraud is strictly forbidden.

Different types of fraud include (but are not limited to):

– Playing a match to a completely or partially pre-determined result.
– Manipulating screenshots, chatlogs or match results.
– Impersonating players, ETF2L staff or contacts of the league (with malicious intent).
– Non-permitted acquisition of profits (e.g. selling spots on your roster, monetizing ETF2L specific content without our permission etc.).

#2 What key do you use for mumble push to talk? in TF2 General Discussion

I unbind V from in-game voice and use it as mumble's push-to-talk instead. It's very convenient to use even in the middle of the fight but has the drawback of spamming vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv on any chatbox you may have open at the time.
