#10 Mechanical keyboards - worth spending more? in Hardware
georgebaiiOnly go for K70 if you want a tenkey. K65 is pretty much identical performance wise (been using the RGB on for about a year).

The other keyboard I linked was ten-key too. I really use it a lot.

pyxelizethe k70 is mostly more comfortable and flashy, as for performance, it closely resembles the k65 in performance, which is $65 USD, even cheaper than the first keyboard. I have it and would definitely recommend it. Better than my previous Razer keyboard, but it doesn't have a number pad, take that as you will.

The K65 is ~£80 in the UK inc. delivery. Besides I do use the num pad a lot.

Gonna watch some reviews of both of them and go from there. Ty all for your helps

#1 Mechanical keyboards - worth spending more? in Hardware

Looking to buy my first mech keyboard. I've established I want a full-size with red switches but I'm pretty lost after that.

I could get something like this for just £65, or I could spend £40 more for the k70.

What differences are there other than the flashy lights and better aesthetics of the k70? Will the actual performance be the same? Would you go for the k70?

I am trying to organise this but it's getting difficult on my own, especially during my finals. If there's anyone in the area with any experience with event organisation, or just some enthusiasm please get in touch :)

#24 Steam winter sale what to buy? in Other Games
wtzget the valve complete package, thats a steal at 7 pounds

Actually it's £16.99 but it says £7 for you because you own half of the stuff already. Even Valve isn't so mean as to make you buy games twice. Either way still a good deal.

Don't worry, this is definietly not dead. I'm still in contact with the venue but there was some issues with the office on their end. Should be able to get quotes soon. If the current favourite venue falls through I've got a few other possibilies I will contact.

I am also working on a website and I've had some branding done. If you're intested in the source/want to contribute you can see the repo here.

MatthesNo plans on having anything to do with EU?
Sure we already have etf2l but even aside from 6s it would be nice to have the odd ultiduo cup or something.

To be fair we so have tournaments every couple of months or so. My boy stereo has one going right now. Also there is other ultiduo related EU stuff going on right now but I'm not at liberty to go into details at this time. The scene is not dead though either way.

oJEaster is good, isn't i61 in the summer anyway?

Normally insomnia is late august and I would aim for July anyway. I guess lots people (including myself) have exams etc. at the beginning of summer anyway.

nykIf it's after july I'd be really intrested, it's a great idea

At the moment I'm looking at running it in April during my easter break. If either it doesn't happen or it goes really well then I'll look to do it again in the summer :)

Diplomatttry and get some quotes from the venue and price it up, then people can get a better idea of if they can go

That's the plan, just waiting for them to get back to me on that. I thought I would post here anyway just to gauge general interest and it looks good so far :)

CrayonI'd be interested in spending <£150 including travel from London
But then that price would mostly be for a hotel, and that depends on how many days it's on for.

OK, that's interesting to know, I'm going to look into block booking hostels/hotels and see what they could do. Just looked though and I think the coach from london to mancs is about £27.

oJWhat are dates? (Also how is man uni I got an offer)

Looking at Easter break 2017. Don't know exact dates yet as like I said venue is unconfirmed.

The uni itself is pretty good depending on what you're doing, but the weather not so much :D What is your degree?

TurbomonkeyBook the Chinese bakery lan cafe out http://www.l2k.co.uk/ I played a week's worth of scrims there. It actually is a bakery at the same time.

£96 for 48 hours of gaming and there's only 25 machines. Not really what I'm looking for.

SenotsLANchester hype

OK I think you win. OP updated.
