I still dont think im progressing as a scout, like every pug i play or scrim, like i always bottom frag in damage? i cant do more than 6000 as scout. but i average like 20 kills? what am i doing wrong?
dude you seriously need to start looking at the forum index and posting your stuff in the right category
Damage isn't necessarily needed for scout.
Your job is to clean up and cap points.
also watch the flank

don't focus on your stats too much, if you feel as if you're not aiming well enough then get into dm/mge and practice. if you feel as if you're not being aggressive enough, try watching some demos of yourself and see where you can improve
Are you practicing the skills needed to be a good scout or are you practicing the skills needed to bottom frag in damage?

Well since im on a mac, i really cant watch demos of good scouts playing. But if i could i would. I spend almost 2 hours every day for the past 3 months in mge, and it feels as i cant progress.

Pick your fights on flank. If they pressure you, fall back and call that your flank is weak. Hopefully your combo will be able to send enough spam out to push them back.

If you can, try installing bootcamp. Your interp is locked at 100ms on the Mac version, and this really affects the experience of gameplay. It's not as bad for hitscan classes but you still are at a disadvantage vis a vis seeing your opponents projectiles.
Also, unless you are definitely used to it, try disabling your mouse accel. OS X has built-in accel, but you can turn it off in the terminal or by using this application: http://www.mediafire.com/?2leex8y7p0xy8di. I couldn't find it online anymore so I uploaded it again.

while you might not be able to watch demos, there are scout POVs on youtube. for instance, I just typed in "clockwork tf2" and got a bunch of videos.
also, a lot of times you could even pick specific maps that you feel you are lacking on.
example, youtube "scout POV badlands" and search through which ones you want to watch (like higher comp levels and videos with team comms)
what everyone else said is good and relevant too.

Watch some source tv's
a week or two isnt the greatest indicator of how much better you are getting
stop posting every thought you have on to tftv

If you feel that your dm is a bit off, you might be burnt out from TF2(assuming you play too much). Just take one or two days off from the week(Fridays or Saturdays are the most common) and then come back and then DM or MGE for a bit.

What does the acceleration do?

What does the acceleration do?
Generally, acceleration accounts for speed as well as distance when you move your mouse. For example, with acceleration enabled, moving the mouse 1" on your pad at a slow rate might turn your view 90 degrees, but moving the mouse 1" at a fast rate might move your view 360 degrees. With acceleration disabled, moving your mouse 1" will ALWAYS turn your view only 90 degrees, no matter how fast or slow you move the mouse.

Find the streams of some of the higher level scouts. Really useful to watch them scrim because you not only get to see what they're doing, but hear the comms that go along with it.
if your not seeing the improvement you want in mge try switching to DM servers. also although you say you cant watch povs since your on mac there are way around that. on you tube search tf2pov and you'll find a channel with a shit ton of pov demos to watch.

some dated knowledge but still useful. the clockwork videos about scout basics and midfights are pretty good.
also i wasn't aware you couldnt watch demos on a mac. that sucks.

Step 1: Get off a mac
Step 2: begin to see progress
Step 2: begin to see progress
Offclass until everyone hates you, then go play dota then come back to tf2 and its ezpz
Well I used to do that whole plateau thing you're having and then I changed something and got a whole lot better really fast. I change my crosshair almost weekly just so I don't go into a pattern and stop focusing 100% into the game.
