So I have problem going on constantly with my memory usage going to 90%+ even without chrome open, I have 16GB of RAM and nothing on Task Manager turns out to use that much of it. I have had quite a lot of problems with streaming lately, my fps has been dying, I've had lags, my CPU usage hops quite high at times, also when I stream with OBS my Disc usage goes to like 100% and stays there. The temps of the the computer shit are all between 30-50'C, don't know if that matters.

I wonder if anyone here knows any solutions, I've been searching google for quite a while but I'm not good with these things, I can't remember any late changes and I was able to stream before with no lags/notable fps drops at all, so I don't know what to do.

I do use Windows 10 just putting it out there

Intel Core i7 4770K
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti

I use Avira antivirus, I've heard it could cause something as well, any help appreciated.

Being the placebo-me I'm still gonna post it, so far now I'm streaming, Memory and CPU are just fine, I think I still have quite a bit worse fps than what I used to but so far I think I'm good to go.(maybe hopefully)

EDIT: forgot to mention what I did was look for some tutorial and disable something in registry edit and restart

Your pc should not have a big problem running it, Ive done some research as wel and indeed on the Avira website many people has the same problem:
https://answers.avira.com/en/question/avira-free-antivirus-with-cpu-on-100-18270
What you should try is uninstall avira, restart pc, and do a test again.

Are you sure you don't have anything on your background running? You can go to taskmanager and than go to "startup apps" or something like that is it called. There you can see the apps that are running on the background on the moment you start your pc.

Also I suggest to just delete every task you know for sure you dont need when you play.(Apps or background things that are from other apps, I only run, steam, TF2, and obs studio when I am streaming. Or when I am just playing.

Check if you have lsass.exe running in the background and is using a lot of CPU. > Task manager/Processes
If so then this is Chrome causing this.
But ya, disable antivirus & do a test as well.
Also, is your PC dusty inside?

Edit; I see you have Windows 10, you could be downloading build 1703 (creators update) in the background & Avira is checking that. You'd also get a reasonably high drive usage as well.

I know its a bit off topic of this topic, but how much space does an obs recording take??
