Still not 100% decided on which charity we do this for. A few really good ones were mentioned to me by friends.

http://www.charitywater.org/ - We're a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. 100% of all public donations directly fund water projects, and we prove every dollar using photos and GPS coordinates on a map.

http://www.onestepcamp.org/ - Children's Oncology Services, Inc. believes that a diagnosis of cancer should not prevent a child from experiencing the simple joys of childhood. A lot of tough challenges come along with being a young cancer patient. Friends, school and sports are often replaced by doctor visits, sick days and chemotherapy treatments. Through our One Step programs, we offer camp experiences and other educational and excursion programs throughout the year that allow children with cancer to just be kids.

http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ - Child’s Play seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game industry and the power of play. When gamers give back, it makes a difference!

Just seems like the kids should have fun. Child's Play seems good because we're gamers, but not all folks have that passion. And the water one just won't . . . brand as well.

Child's Play isn't just video games. On the site they mention puzzles and whatnot as well, so I assume it's general shit for them to do and take their minds off the hospital.

Hard to choose from. Charity for kids, especially these specific ones, are really good to go with but at the same time there are countries that have really shitty water. I would probably say Child's Play though. A charity driven from current gamers to the new generation of gamers. It just feels right.

Anything ruling out Medicine sans Frontieres? Aside from them, I'd vote for charity water.

As much as I appreciate what Child's Play does, pretty much everyone with over 100 Twitch followers holds a fundraiser for them at some point in the year. They're sitting at over $5 million in donations from 2012, but if you really want to help them out, consider donating toys directly to your local hospital using their Hospital Map. http://childsplaycharity.org/donate

(A box of 24 crayola crayons costs $2, but will make a huge difference.)

I'm pushing for One Step Camp.

that was kind of my feeling on the subject as well monty. i think onestepcamp could probably use the money more than child's play. they both help sick kids i just know child's play already gets tons of support from the gaming community and since onestepcamp is currently leading the vote i'll probably choose them. thanks to everyone who voted.
