How can I become more comfortable jumping from the left as soldier? Are there are good jump maps that can help with this? I don't use the Original and don't plan on using it.
Instead of jumping from the right, jump from the left.
Cheval is a good one, every jump has a left and right side that you can do.
Sit down naked and look at your penis. Which side is it leaning towards? That is your dominant jumping side.
The practical place I've found where this can be practiced easily is immediately when you exit the valley resupply door on Badlands. I saw soldiers do this comfortably with the default rocket launcher before the Original came out, so it shouldn't be an issue for you with a bit of practice.

I learned to rocket jump from the left so I could beat my brother at BBall.
jump_4starters c5(?) is an all left wall-jump jump and doing that made me learn how to left wall jump
A lot of jump maps have wall jumps or wall climbs where you have the option to use either a right or left wall. jump_tholos #3 comes to mind. Some jumps, like the one on 4starters that #9 mentioned, have no option at all and you have to use the left, although you have to be pretty decent already to make it there.
But yeah, jump_tholos #3. That's where I would go. The following video talks about left jumps and shows how it's done on that exact jump.

The vid labels it as jump_adventure, but it's wrong.

rj_rckteer_adv is a pretty good, symmetrical map:

Also, rj_training_v3, has a lot of long wall jumps that might help:

I'm curious to why you would want to do this. Is it so you can do some jump maps easier?
Jumping from the left is sometimes your best option if you need to bomb someone or make a quick escape in 6s.
And the way I learned to jump from the left was just practicing it. Not much else to it.

Whenever I would jump, I would do a normal right side jump, and if the wall was to my left, I'd just look back a bit farther. The issue is keeping your height, so you might want to look down a bit more when you turn left.

Sometimes you need to jump from the left. It's not much of a necessity but think of it more like a perk that definitely helps to have.

Go into a pub with the rocket jumper and whenever you see a left wall, jump off it. You'll eventually get it.
Also, try slowing down your rotation to get a good feel at first. Try to the match your mouse movements for both sides. And remember to hold d not a.
