Hey friends, my bandmates and I recorded an EP a little while ago and I thought that if I'm gonna spam my songs about moms on here it would be pretty disrespectful not to do the same for some music that Is not a complete joke.
I've had a lot of fun playing guitar with these guys and it would mean a lot to me if you would give our songs a listen. Playing in a band has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid so I'm feeling really happy right now. I know yelly screamy music isn't exactly everyones cup of tea but I think that if you're into any sort of hardcore/punk/screamo/skramz/post-whatever or straight to tv Lifetime channel movies you may enjoy it :)

I like it. The guitars remind me of And So I Watched You From Afar, upbeat and fast.

the guitar is cool but the vocals ruin it for me. I've never been a screamo fan, sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

Top notch stuff, I immediately send the link to my friend, who is into emo/screamo too. I hope you will manage to organise yourself some gigs and go on a small tour around the country, as I have done a couple of 3-5days ones with my band and it was one of the best experiences in my life :) We're doing more sludgy stuff tho.
[edit] my comment was seen as hijacking, but really, people who are into DIY emo/hardcore stuff simply LOVE exchanging experiences, each other's bands etc. People who are on tftv apparently not :d

Good stuff, best of luck to your band.

Liked everything except the screaming but I'm not into screamo to begin with, metalcore is the furthest I'd go for that.
I can definitely see a shit ton of people loving this

I'm really not into this style of music at all.
With that being said, I'm really impressed by how professional it sounded, I was expecting something a lot more amateur. Really solid production work.

that was really good. nice mixing, although the strings might be a tad loud on song #2. can't hear the vocals.
although, other than the instrumental changes, the vocals were pretty much the same the whole way. i like and understand the screaming, however, too much can ruin emotion. although i really did like the EP in general.
nice job!

yaugthe guitar is cool but the vocals ruin it for me. I've never been a screamo fan, sounds like nails on a chalkboard.
u have to work yr way through emo or post punk into screamo. like u start with snowing or TWIABP and 5 months later yr that kid with greasy hair mumbling Jerome's Dream lines 2 yrself :(
real talk tho u kind've have to look at it as like an abrasive instrument rather than just a set of lyrics and it creates a different picture imo. Like on this album the production and tuning are all rather upbeat and happyish, while the vocals create a sort of foil that plays against it. It makes it more interesting imo but I can see where people who prefer more unified or cohesive soundscapes would be put off

Thank you so much for all of your feedback and support! I showed the thread to my bandmates and they really appreciated what you guys had to say.

One of my bandmates has a friend who did it for us. I know absolutely nothing about her so I don't know if she would appreciate me posting her name here.

That was some really good feedback. For the most part the instrumentals are just a bunch of random progressions and riffs we smashed together so we could call it a song which I think played a big part in creating a disconnect between the lyrics and the music. We're definitely gonna keep what you said about having a cohesive soundscape in mind.

not bad at all, which is surprising given that I haven't seen anything skramz coming out of chicago that wasn't mediocre in a minute
recording was also really strangely clean for a first ep - gl with ur future endeavors, this should catch some attention

Keep up the good work. :D

Sounds great! Kind of has a touche amore vibe to it, I love that midwest emo has been making a comeback the past few years. gj capn
