Lmao you guys are so awesome. There is quite a few people on this website that were eligible for the prize and they did compete because of this thread and for your information, the winner was a NON ADMIN. The winner was a guy named Taco and he has been on our server for about 7 hours total. I traded the hat to him on the spot. This thread was mainly for those on this site that have been to our server before so I do not understand all of the rudeness. I did not make a God damn penny off of this and jsut gave away a very expensive hat. Why can't people just be nicer?

Ive posted on this site quite a few times and this competition was for the ones that have actually given us a shot and played in the server.

You went on to a tf2 competitive forum and advertised your server. You also made the requirements to be eligible impossible for someone actually interested in joining.

You made no mention of this thread being for the regulars of the server, nor do I see anyone in the comments who has said "be right there" so I doubt that there were actually a good enough portion of this community willing to go to make the thread worth being posted.

Ok buddy. Believe as you wish. We are a very small TF2 community and I have met some really awesome people from this site. It was last minute yes I do agree but it has been posted on our website for the last few hours. I was attacked for trying to be a nice guy and give back to the community. Everything is out of my pocket, im the one that puts a ton of hours into this to make it the best I can. I post here because I respect you guys' gameplay and maybe thought some would be interested in some of the things we do in our server. That is not a crime. Sure why wouldnt I want to promote our server a little bit? We are all about building and learning. For some reason I get attacked on here more times than not. Sorry you were not eligible to enlist in the tournament but that does not mean others were not. Stop being selfish and at least recognize someone trying to do some good for TF2.

edit: There will be MANY more giveaways coming soon and we will also have a centralized server (Chicago) really soon as well. No need to get so frustrated over it

I kind of talked to the dudes in this server. They are rather dedicated at making this comp friendly. Just think of this as some community that is trying to get more comp players and stuff. I mean, I heard from Lange's stream over the summer that comp TF2 at the moment is pretty much dead compared to other communities like LoL or SCII, so we as a community could use more people to grow TF2. And yes the warning may be a bit late, but still, it's free shit, calm down guys.

You posted 30minutes in advance, why not post a day or 2 in advance? If you post a tournament or some give away, you should post EVERYWHERE related and get as many people to be eligible as soon as possible. Not just 1-3 per site.

You have a website for these events. Good, good, you've got a perfect way of relaying to everyone in your community about the event.

I totally understand what you mean. Listen, we had a contest going on that got scrapped cause it fell through and didnt work out so well. So this one was LAST minute. No one knew of it until about 2 hours prior or so. I am kinda spontaneous sometimes I know but we host Friday Night Fights every Fri night at 7 pm EST. I just added a little twist this Friday. I apologize about the time frame not being adequate as I would of loved more people involved. I had to set some kind of rules hence the 5 hour play time thing because we have many members that dedicate a lot of their time to us and it would not be right to just allow someone to enter the game just looking to win an Unusual Hat and never see them again. Make sense?

Technoblade, look man I really apologize for the way things turned out. I do wish I could have planned this better from the start. I jsut got home from work and the idea hit me so I posted on our website (limited traffic obviously) and I posted it here as I am not a part of any other TF2 forums. Anyways, we had a great time and I would like to have you in there sometime, I'll be sure to give ample timing next time around!

Yes we do have a website but like I said the community is small and these guys do not check it everyday. Many of them are on here quite often

You guys are being extremely harsh on someone whose doing unusual giveaways for just pubbing on their server. Granted he made the mistake of posting extremely late but, that doesn't mean you need to bash him for it.
