High ping since outage

My area had an internet outage on Friday and ever since it has been resolved my ping has went from 30-40 to 150-170. I contacted my ISP and they stated that all problems on their end have been fixed and that 150 latency is not an issue they worry about and is perfectly fine. The high ping was also at my buddies house too so it's not just me. What should I do?

Things I have tried:
Power Cycling
Different Ports
Resetting Modem
