I'm down. I'll bring Duder as my date. (shhh he doesn't know yet)
I'd love to do this. Hopefully we can get this going sometime in August when I'll be home.
Chicago is the best city and I live in it. I'll be there.
haven't played comp tf2 since the summer cuz of school and shit, but i'll be near chicago early this june. would love to meet some dudez, so if it's during the time from that i'm there i'd love to go
I'm moving out to Chicago for school next year. I'd love to go if it was in August.
Depending when I do med-school bootcamping, I may go
I live in chicago and i used to go to ignite all the time so i will most likely go.
I've reached out to Ignite, waiting for a response.

I know the timing and availability may be all based on Ignite, but do you have a ballpark date(s) in mind. Will need to request off work.

When: Saturday, June 21st, Noon to Midnight (12 hours)
- When: Saturday, July 26th, Noon to Midnight (12 hours)[/s]
- Where: Ignite Gaming Lounge (3341 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL 60618)
- How much: If we have at least 25 signups, $55 per person ($4.58/hr).
- Booze: BYOB. This deal comes with access to a private room where we are allowed to bring in outside food and drink, including alcohol. I do not believe that it is allowed to be consumed outside of this room.
- Will it be streamed: Yes. Ignite seems to have a decent little casting setup that I would rent out and use for the duration of the event. I'd try to get as many people on the stream as possible to keep things fresh.
- Will there be a tournament?: Not planning on it currently. If people really want one we can try, but I think that casual pugs and pubs will be the most fun and most inclusionary. I don't want this to become something that just the highest-skilled players are comfortable at.
- Are the monitors 120hz?: No, and you cannot bring your own. You can bring other personal peripherals such as mouse, keyboard, mousepad, and headset.
Please look over this info and supply feedback. I'd like to move quickly on this.

Sounds good on my end, $55 is not very expensive for the whole night. Thanks for setting this up Lange.
I would go if it wasn't the week before ESEA LAN, I have fam and friends up there and could justify the trip, but not when I'm going to Dallas one week later ;__;
Yeah, that weekend isn't the best, since quite a few people may be going to ESEA LAN. Also, I'll be out of town. Mid-July would probably work best.
Sweet, I'm game for that date. There are PCs on site, correct?
I hadn't considered that this was right before LAN. How about July 19 or July 26?

Yes, it is a very well-furnished LAN center. You can bring your own peripherals if you want.
I'm finding out if the monitors are 60hz or 120hz.

LangeI've received a quote from Ignite with some tentative details. None of this is final and is all up for debate:

dashnerNow that OCN 2014 is confirmed not to be supporting TF2, pretty keen for a summer TF2 event. Will definitely be there.
Just saw that thread :( Was really looking forward to going to OCN this year. Definitely would've gone to that, but I doubt I could make this meetup.

The new date is July 26th. I think this avoids all conflicts and gives plenty of time for people to prepare.
I'd like to start building a list of attendees. I need 25 people who are reasonably certain that they can attend for me to make this reservation. Of course, more is always welcome, we can comfortable have up to 150 people.

dashnerI'm good to go.
Reilly (and other Canadian gamers near Toronto), I will probably drive as it will still be cheaper than flying in the end. Carpool is available if it would help your ability to attend.
If you could get them all to post stating their intent to attend, that'd be helpful.
