Sick idea for a mic stand, I actually just found one somewhat like that and I needed an idea for how to prop it up. Sorry about your computer though, not even the slightest clue what is wrong with it.

It is the computer. I was streaming once when this happened, and when I looked at the vod, it just ended.

A scout player I know from way back had a better getup - core i7 box with a rock band mic.
But real talk this happened to me when I was playing BC2 a few years ago on my 9800 GT. Was shooting a tank and suddenly I got a whole bunch of dotted red lines on my screen and I had to do a hard shutdown. Popped in my emergency 9500 GT and everything was fine. It's quite possible that your video card is on its way out.
A scout player I know from way back had a better getup - core i7 box with a rock band mic.
But real talk this happened to me when I was playing BC2 a few years ago on my 9800 GT. Most likely a software issue with your gpu. Update/reinstall drivers etc. If nothing else, you could have a defective gpu or motherboard. Check dat warranty.

Check if your power cables going into the video card are all plugged in properly and if none of them is broken. It's the stupid things sometimes. Also did you monitor your gpu tempreature when this happens? Did it overheat?

Happened to me before. Check if your gpu is overheating. Take it out and see if theres a lot of dust on it or if it is burned out.

An old laptop I had a while back had a very similar problem. It could be due to age and running programs that are a bit more intensive. I wish I could help more, but I know nothing about computers beyond that :/ Best of luck
