This is a phenomenon I've been experiencing with my Adder for quite some time now. When playing MGE, many times I would switch from the shotgun back to the RL (which I have bound to M2)even though I didn't want to do it. Aside from being a horrible soldier it prevents me from going all Mike and switching back and forth between shotty and launcher in splitseconds when I need it. For instance, I hit an airshot with my last rocket and I know I could finish off my opponent with one gunshot, but it switches me back to the empty RL and I get dunked on.
It seems to happen mostly when the shotgun is autoreloading, so I didn't think of it being a mouse issue at first. But when I tried to pinpoint the error and I started taking my middle finger completely off M2 while shooting it stopped so I'm 90% sure it actually is M2 that just fires off really easily sometimes.
It never popped me an Über for some reason (thanks god) and I didn't really notice it on scout (but I rarely use the pistol anyway). It seems to be most noticeable on soldier.

So, does anyone else have this problem with his Adder? It's only a few months old so it shouldn't really be 'broken'. Lifting the finger during play works but it is still strange.

It's pretty clean from what I see. Is there a better way than toilet paper to clean it below the mouse buttons?

LMB and RMB are known issues with the adder. Contact razer for a replacement, I'm guessing it's still covered by the warranty. If anything razer had overall positive customer service rep, even if some of their products can have quality issues.

The g400 also has known issues with the core, which I hope doesn't happen with my. There really is no reason for a g400, since both mice has flawless sensors (assuming it's a 3/3.5G version). If razer can replace it, no need for the301stspartan to spend money.

I had a Razer Mamba, which is basically the Death Adder++, and it started to not recognize right clicks unless you REALLY mashed it. Exact opposite problem. So there's that.

My Zowie EC1 Evo should be here by the end of the week.

I'll let you know how it is bro. (Shape is said to be very similar to the DA).

I put some index paper where the plastic pivots, made the buttons require a bit more force to click them.

I have a Deathadder: Black Edition and its right click was also very sensitive.

Mine gets gunky a lot. Heres my long self-created process for cleaning:

1. Compressed air. Use the small nozzle to get under the mouse buttons and let it rip.
2. Fold toilet paper over itself a few times to make a stiff corner. Rub this corner under each mouse button and in the side buttons.
3. For the side buttons (which I don't use but get really gunky easily) stick a pocket knife in there and scrape around. The knife is also a good method of getting dirt deep under the regular mouse buttons.
4. After using the knife (which you should wipe off after every scrape) repeat step 2 to clean out the debris that you dislodged but did not bring out.
5. A final compressed air spray to finish it off.

You can also use the knife to scrape the ridges on the bottom of the mouse. I find that they get dirty easily and cleaning them out makes the mouse move much smoother on its pad.

I had a DA a while ago and couldn't use it because of the right mouse button.

The problem is, you can press the mouse buttons from half way way down the shell of the mouse. Literally, if you press quite hard in the middle of the mouse, you can click the buttons.

So if you're a palm grip player, and low sensitivity (meaning you're quite aggressive with your mouse), your palm (or close to it) can sometimes push the buttons. It was incredibly annoying when playing medic (popping ubers), sniping (zooming out just as your about to take a shot) and demoknight (bleh).

It could be that when you're playing MGE, you are more aggressive with your mouse meaning the right mouse pops off? Just basing it off my experience with it.

Or I could be completely wrong and it's a mechanical fault.
It's a shame as it's such a good mouse otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback, will get some compressed air and try to clean it properly. If I look underneath the mouse buttons I cannot see any dirt that could be triggering the button but since the buttons go so far back I guess you cannot really tell. Will clean and see if it goes away.

When I switched from mx518 to DA, I noticed that right click was fairly sensitive whenever I would play a game (mostly because it wouldn't take much for it to be pressed when I would rapidly move the mouse around). My solution? I have my middle finger about a half-inch above M2, just so I don't accidentally uber. It sounds tedious but I got used to it.

I play with a similar CFG and haven't noticed an issue. However the side button on my DA has collapsed, and is unusable now. Second DA that this has happened to now.

I ended up switching my uber to one of the m4 or m5 buttons. I like it b/c I dont have to constantly think about accidentally ubering. But yeah m2 is a bit sensitive.

OdissiusMy Zowie EC1 Evo should be here by the end of the week.

I'll let you know how it is bro. (Shape is said to be very similar to the DA).

The EC1/EC2 eVo are built in such a way that RMB requires about half the force of LMB to fire. I've hit RMB by accident so many times getting used to it. OP would probably hate it.

I'm on my second 3500 DeathAdder and they are both like this: The right mouse button is substantially harder to push down than the left one which is super light. I remember being concerned about this when I first started playing on my DA. What ended up happening, automatically and naturally, is that I rest my index finger on M1 and both my middle and ring finger on M2 while the thumb and pinky hold the mouse on the sides. Basically it takes 2 fingers to push the right mouse button and have it feel as light and crisp as one finger on the left.

That's odd. In my experience, Razer mice in general have unusually sensitive RMBs. I've tried a lot, and I use a Naga (I know, bad sensor, but I don't think I could part with my thumb buttons. I medic, and I prefer index on LMB, middle on RMB bound to attack2, weapon switch on numbers bound to thumb instead of on mousewheel). The RMB is a little touchier than I'd really like, but you get used to it.

I have had similar problems, but yeah, cleaning seems to have worked, usually.

So I've had the chance to play with my Zowie for a couple days and I am really liking it.

Hmm, the right click to me feels like it takes the same force as left click, and I haven't really found myself accidentally hitting right click with this mouse. I did notice with my Mamba (which I assume uses the same switches as the DA since it is just the wireless version) that it was quite easy to accidentally right click.

OP, if cleaning it doesn't resolve your problem and Razer won't replace it for you I definitely suggest checking out the Zowie EC1 eVo. The rubber coating on it feels way nicer than my Mamba, it has a flawless sensor, no drivers to dick with, huge mouse feet for dat glide, comes with spare mouse feet, is light as fuck (which is awesome for low sens), the cable is really light weight, and the scroll wheel is nice and "notchy" so you know exactly how many times you've scrolled. Also, you won't have the right click issue since it uses Huano switches.

If you really love your DA to death, you could try to find a place that sells Huano switches (or maybe just buy a used mouse that has Huano switches on the inside) - take it apart - and then transplant the Huano switches into your DA (which uses Omron switches). Huanos take a little bit more activation force, which could solve your problem.
