Once again, the title is pretty self explanatory
I need to increase FPS in order to even play TF2. When I'm battling someone the lag will just come in and stop me from killing the enemy the ultra super epic swag way... god that was cringe, but you get the point it's just gonna stop me from killing. It's gonna lag when i see alot of people which i should expect since no one is loaded if i dont see them.
I have the mastercomfig config by the way.
Please recommend me mods and other stuff that can increase my FPS, I'm CRAVING for the FPS!

Maybe your problem is this? I know the steam webhelper causes me significant issues comparable to what you're seeing.

You may need an FPS config. I recommend using mastercomfig, as that one is the most reliable in my experience.

I wish this forum site used markdown.

back when i played on a laptop 640*480 definitely made the game playable for me. I got like 40/50 extra fps which is a lot from 30fps. use dx8, most garbage cfg u can find, mastercomfig is ok w normal pcs but comanglia toaster worked better for me. also disabling sound, steam overlay will probably help

- Using DX level 81. Although you cannot see weapon skins and sheens, it gives pretty noticeable boost of FPS to the game, while also making things like medi gun beam (If you are playing with the beam turned on) or crossbow arrow trails more visible.
DX 80 is literally the same, but much less stable, so please use DX81 instead.
You can use this by either typing "mat_dxlevel 81" to your .cfg file, or "-dxlevel 81" to your TF2 launch options bar on Steam.
- Make sure your PC uses all cores of your CPU.
- Set an exception for tf folders in your antivirus settings.

Z0rpi- 80 / 81

been using dx80 for years and havent had any crashes, i advise on trying it

- all cores

tf2 wont utilize them, it runs on like 2 cores and some random thread

- antivirus

unless you download random files or go to malicious sites, there's really no point in using one

I'm sorry, i haven't described it well. Not sure if all have been fixed after Jungle Inferno, but there have been some graphical bugs happening for users with DX8.0, which have been fixed in DX81.
Probably won't make as much of a difference ingame to make it playable from unplayable :(
