Just a general curiosity, but I'm totally torn apart by two options. The first option is getting a single monitor probably around 23-24" (1920 x 1080).
The Second option on the other hand is doing a dual monitor setup...but the question is, what should a decent dual monitor budget should be? I'm looking to have resolutions at the least, above 1200 (maybe around 1440 or 1650?).
Any thoughts b/t dual and single would be appreciated, maybe also an estimation for the budget in terms of a dual monitor setup...

2 monitors makes life better. If you have the budget for it, always go with 2 + screens.

2 monitors is the shit...even if you don't stream it's just useful to have a second screen open. it's hard to go back once you get it.
my 2nd monitor is 4:3. If you have the money, get a 120hz primary and then your secondary should just be whatever you can get.

2 monitors at the 1600s resolutions. I dual monitor on two 1440x900 monitors at home, good times. Would love a better resolution for some sites/documents though.

i use a vertical secondary monitor and it makes reading webpages so much better by delivering more content rather than empty sidebars.

I got a 28 inch monitor when I built my first computer, then slowly saved up and got a 24 inch 120 Hz (Acer) about a year or two after. Then my 28 inch broke and now I got a second 120 Hz (BenQ) to replace it.
It's hard without two monitors, especially if you program or spend a lot of time where productivity would help. Or even want to play Skyrim with Netflix on the side.
I would get the best "main" monitor you can, and spend a minimal amount on at least a crappy default Dell monitor for the side.
