So my mom recently cut our internet to save like $100 over two months while we use this shitty internet from our neighbor. (don't ask)

I can't play mge, scrim, pug, etc. because all i do is get 1000 ping spikes and ggly internet and then dc.

Basically i just need like a couple good maps to use in an empty server to keep the rust off while i wait 2 months or so for better than shit internet. I already know about tr_newbots and walkway and rocketshooting (i think thats what its called)

Anyone have any other good training maps that i can dl? Thanks

If you're going to steal internet, at least do it the right way. Break into their house and connect your ethernet cable to their router, and then cut their cables.

I have to wait like half an hour to buffer a 5 minute video on like 480p so idk man it's hardly even worth it at that point

I would definitely add on TLR Rocket Shooting v3 to that list.

I can also recommend messing around with "net_fakelag" (EDIT: net, not cl, thanks MrYoke!) to simulate different pings (I think it's 2 * the ping you want on the scoreboard).

Another thing you can do offline is rollout or jump practice. Run a server with a map, and have various cheat-enabled commands used (I don't do this too much but I know there's hurtme -9999 which gives you 9999 health, impulse 101 gives you ammo, mp_roundrestart?? My point is there are a lot of ways to make this work).

On top of that, you can do demo reviews. I don't have the time to give you a bunch of links (especially when I don't know what class you are) but previous Invite players have of course put up their demos (I know Plat and Seagull did for last LAN), and scattered among the TFTV forums are seasonal STVs of both the regular season and LAN. It's worth doing those every so often just to see different styles, maybe where mistakes are made or where plays are done. It's worth finding (especially POVs) to understand how other roles play.

I would definitely add on TLR Rocket Shooting v3 to that list.

thank you for the suggestions. I forgot about demos and i'll definitely put some time into that.

What I posted below can help you practice rollouts as in you'll regen health and ammo. First, go to your class cfg folder and make a file called regen copy & paste what I posted and when you're in your server type exec regen (or whatever you named the file) to activate it. Hope this helps.

Practicing rollouts has always been fun for me when I had nothing to do, so yeah, definitely a good thing to do even if you don't play demo or roamer it's fun

I have these 2 lines in my soldier cfg foldier for local server jumping:
bind "mouse2" "+duck; hurtme -200"
bind "i" "sv_cheats 1; sv_gravity 800; net_fakelag 32; mp_restartgame_immediate 1"

I use mouse2 instead of ctrl. sv_gravity 800 isn't needed unless you run into source engine problems like me. I jumped around on process an hour a day for a couple months with no real goal in mind besides getting used to moving really fast through the map.

or, you know, you could just
bind mouse1 "+attack; impulse 101"

don't forget when you are aim training or whatever on a local server -

tf_weapon_criticals 0
tf_use_fixed_weaponspreads 1
tf_damage_disablespread 1

I also usually do this for the purpose of rollout practice

sv_cheats 1
bind k "hurtme -150"
bind l "mp_restartgame 1"
