I had the pleasure to talk to trog a bit. His 3D thingy is part of the HUD now.

The 3D class icon is implemented & 2D works properly again. The triangle should work better at all resolutions now also.

The team indicator will be a stripe for 3D and the old triangle for 2D.

Isn't this your own project? You're making it sound like your talking about the work of somebody else. Why are you titling it with "famous"?
This also really doesn't look like it has been made by actually editing hud files. Looks like random mockups done in PS.

DroidsterIf you do damage when you die (eg equaliser tauntkill, blow yourself up on someone) the crosshair stays red if you have it enabled to flash until the next time you do damage.

Don't think there's anything that I can do to change that, it's triggered by the same event apparently.

BaconChapstick5MD works on Macs, didn't test the others though.

Edit: Some small glitches, when in a game and you try to select a class load out the class icons will be invisible until you mouse over them.

Edit 2: Also in tournament mode (tested on a dodgeball server) in the top left where I assume it'd show players left it shows a red and a blue %%.

Edit 3: I have a glitch that I think it just an issue with fonts on Macs. The main menu text is cut off, it's still readable just annoying. Tested on 16:10. 16:9, and 4:3 aspect ratios.

1: I'm getting the same thing once I'm in-game, but it happened for me with other huds also (that don't mess with these menus). Might be a TF2 bug.

2: Not sure, is it an arena-like counter? Might be something weird and dodgeball-specific.

3: Yeah fonts are probably bugged under Mac OS, haven't been able to test and fix it yet. I'll see if I can ask some people. At least it's no longer crashing on startup :X

SylvesterMaybe a Wings Plus in the crosshairs? : )

konr wings are already part of the hud, if that's what you mean. Otherwise a screenshot or drawing would be nice so that I can actually see what you mean.

IntellectualIn 5MD the html motd does not work (such as for .ss). Just a semi transparent screen.

I attempted to fix it (couldn't test it). Let me know if it works now.

trogDamn, FLV looks great.

Once you start playing and join a team do the menus change to your team colour? Kind of confused because I see there's a different red and blu version.

Both versions look the same once you're at the team-selection.

    ...to your autoexec in order to make the "Home Server" button work.

The entry in the clientscheme should do it. It's called "Small%".

TreshHow did you make it so the crosshair is always centered on every resolution?

What's new?

I decided to branch out a bit and created 3 new versions. The old version still works and I will try to maintain the old repo on GitHub. The HUD should stay in a usable state for a while. (There are alternatives as well, check out Garm3n's REX and the Hudas project).

This whole thing has been in the works for a while. I hope you like the result!

About the different versions:

The first of the new versions, FLV, is based on a simple concept: You pick your team, which determines the HUD's main color. Red or blue. This is basically the new "main" version. http://imgur.com/a/OBoDr

5MD is sort of the basic version of FLV. It features the bonus-cross health effect, which is used in a variety of other HUDs. Other than the red cross and the green uber color this HUD is kept in grayscale. Its plain-ness is supposed to allow it to be used as a canvas. It will be easy to add your own colors without them clashing with other colors of the HUD. This HUD is still heavily WIP and might turn out completely different in the end. http://imgur.com/a/9mJdY

CMYK is using that 5MD canvas, but goes a bit beyond it with some additional tweaks. It features strong colors (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) and a stronger contrasts between all elements. Team-indicators haven been adjusted to the color-scheme. http://imgur.com/a/xp4C4

Other things that are worth mentioning:

I've used broesel's little trick to get custom materials working with sv_pure. This allows for the team-indicator and certain team-colored elements. This also made the current SpecHUD possible.

The new crosshair should feel familiar to anyone that has used fog's crosshairs before. The different characters of the alphabet match different crosshairs. I'm using the method that Ell (check out his HUD!) has shown me to center them. They should be automatically centered for any resolution. I only recently started messing around with crosshair-fonts in FontForge, so these might take a bit to be polished.
All the other crosshairs (fog, Garm3n and konr) are still included.

Customization is still a main feature of this HUD, I'm still testing ways to make it easier for people to use and access various options. The readme has been simplified, too.

This project was originally a modification of Garm3nHUD-SL and I even went back a bit to its roots again (it's a bit more colorful). The main font is identical to the recent Garm3nHUD versions. (Novecento, it's free!) The winpanel is heavily based on the old Garm3nHUD REX winpanel.

- Removed all flashing visuals (readability)
- Re-did timers, stopwatch mode and ctf pointers
- Made respawn time easier to read
- Added team-indicator in the bottom right corner
- Added custom HP-Cross for alternative HP options (does not work with sv_pure)

Don't think I'll be able to, it appears to just be a random crash.

SouthSileniaI'd like to make the ammo smaller on the old "blank lower version". You said to do it, on the new version, to change "boldnumbers54" but how do i do it on the old blank HUD. That's what i ask.

2 things I found recently
- the scoreboard (i tried fixing it myself but no chance)
- in mvm, I cant build a mini sentry when I have the option to build one

help, again :D

Try wiping your custom folder and re-installing the HUD as well as verifying your game.
Please open an issue on GitHub if you still experience issues after the usual resets and re-installs. (And please add info like OS and resolution and so on)

Please read the readme files. They can be enabled in the clientscheme in the resource folder.
