eIf you make a layout like in paint I can make the map but I'm going to use dev textures you can do the rest if you want. I've wanted to get back into mapping since I stopped afew years ago
not sure if this is welcome but i'll post it anyway
i really want a ctf map that's based on the middle of this:
https://raw.github.com/Medo42/Gang-Garrison-2/master/Source/gg2/Backgrounds/ConflictB.png
(think badlands or arctic mid)
and based on process 2/4 for the flag areas
(the open area and ramped platform parts are the most important)
no idea about the bases or anything but I want them to be next to or behind the flag instead of front of the flag like normal
if we make a tf.tv league it needs to LIVE IN HARMONY with ESEA until its time comes to shine #loveandlaughter
the pauses on the jotw were totally unnecessary
I really want a 105ish FoV but this OP's logic is just bad
good personal reasons but really bad excuses

105 is just enough to get a real 120 degree fov on a widescreen monitor. A 120 degree fov is like the holy grail of distortion vs awareness - 1/3 of a circle!

fun fact: the natural progression along 75->90->x goes to 108, which is what I personally want to play tf2 with (but can't).
should've sent one to extine!
where do i tell valve that i think certain people like gyggylugyglegy deserve community weapons?
I feel like purple/blue would work well as a deep shadowing color overall on the body, like in the ear already. Put that under the body instead of the desaturated greenorange you have there (Ugh! Barf.)
The other critics i had to give were already posted in the thread.
I like it overall, nice job. ;)
>I can't see how running an official extv stream against the esea orange stream would be doing anything helpful for tf2.
It's because of the love/hate relationship the tf2 community has with ESEA. You need a little passive aggressive behavior to get anything new out of something that's content with exactly where it's at.
djcESEA paid $500 for the online coverage of last LAN. Price check how much it costs to book plane tickets a month in advance from Washington and Minnesota to Texas, and then see how far $500 will get you.
I think we have an inability to come to the same terms here
I'm talking about ESEA paying into the TF2 LAN for the professional production and care it deserves, they're a business and if they're not leaking money out their back pockets they should have enough to ship some people out there for one of their biggest events. It's not about the compensation paid (okay, it has to be there, but it's not the subject of this message), but whether ESEA's willing to get Really Good Coverage done or if they're just... Being ESEA.
I'm pretty sure it's not misinformation to say that ESEA wasn't willing to pay (less than last LAN!!!) to fly EXTV out for a professional onsite cast.
