if its league tier im gonna dieI don't want to play another MP shooter with an XP grind period. It's the current year and I should be able to pay for the game itself and have everything that allows me to play with everyone else.

Same, Dota2/CSGO is the better model for competitive. TF2 has a similar smaller problem with getting unlocks that aren't from achievements (I tried to keep up for 4 years before giving up on half the new unlocks). Thankfully most in TF2 suck, but still.

yukiFear is great at anything, but playing as a core his decision making is ridiculously good; attributed to his experience playing at a high level.

Artour is an amazing player, but I wonder if this was the play. Time will tell, I suppose.

Denying every other team RTZ is probably worth it. It'd be nice if another RTZ/Sumail comes up though (NA Dota seems to produce a lot, even if the NA scene is shit).

Aui didn't play very well imo in the finals but I still can't believe he was kicked, think ppd is being dumb. I don't get why Arteezy wouldn't just replace Fear if he's thinking of retiring soon due to injury.

Edit: Arteezy confirmed on his stream Fear is playing support

Aui wasn't a star player but he seemed to get the job done whenever it counted. I don't know how good Fear's support is but still, it's really fucking surprising to kick someone on their high like that (though with majors I guess they have to). Whatever they were doing clearly worked. I do think the major reasons they won TI is because they only fought Chinese teams in the main event, who didn't know how to play Techies or vs Techies (ignoring col because they're not on the same level). I say don't fix what's not broken even if Aui is arguably replaceable, but behind the scenes ppd seemed to not really like Aui's communication.

cdec had a mid losing qop vs storm and lesh vs ember (???) on top of constant gank help. im guessing the guy was nervous or something

They never contested jungle so Sumail would literally get equal farm right after hitting 6. Though Sumail's way better at mid anyways.

Also it's crazy to think that techies basically won EG the event. Every Chinese team was so scared of the techies pick that it became a first phase ban. Really shows how much more flexible the team is (even if Fear played gyro every single game of the finals, it's just like lesh/naga). Also the fact CDEC couldn't play naga.

Red_I think the game losing thing was LGD committing off of it

And mmy is the reason they re-committed. Game was slightly favoring LGD because they had more farmed cores even though EG had net worth lead (ES already have blink and everything). The game was thrown there when it could have been a slight trade.
