Don't know what you're talking about when you say mixchamp is dead. I played 3 mixchamps yesterday. Every time I've checked recently there's been either close to 12 people queued or a game actively going on. Sure it's not as populated as Pugchamp but it's definitely not dead

Yeah, you really can't blame mid-high teams (who are presumably trying to make playoffs) for not wanting to pick up a player with no open experience. Playing on a low-mid team is where you should start with open, or you could do what I did and just make your own team if no one is picking you up (you'd be cutting it close to the reg deadline but you could try)

Being away at college really pushed me away from my irl friends as I had no form of transportation to go to them and my school is an hour+ away. I also picked up my competitive video game hobby at school and now it's what I spend most of my time doing. I can't even remember what I would do every day after work last summer before I got into playing video games for multiple hours a day. This summer I've hardly spent any time with my friends at all

Also Attention Deficit Disorder fucking sucks and is even worse when you pair it with anxiety

At my school it was unnecessary to bring a microwave as there was one in the common room down the hall. I'd also suggest not bringing very much stuff in general cuz I know I brought tons of stuff and when it came time to move out it was a nightmare trying to fit all my stuff in the car.
