Personally I think everyone should work at least a year in customer service when they're young. That way, people don't grow up to be giant assholes to people employed in customer service(or just in general).

As others have said, wait and save up enough to buy a new computer(and make sure you consult here first). You'd have to upgrade essentially everything inside your computer for it to be decent.
Just an FYI, if you have a loud keyboard it doesn't matter how good the desktop mic is, it's still going to pick up the keyboard loud and clear if it's closer to the mic than you are. I know you said you don't want to use the Modmic(or a mod similar to what hooli posted), but it really is the best option if you have a loud keyboard(IMO).
Also, people are right about the Zalman mic behaving 100% different if you have a sound card. It honestly sounds really good with my 5 year old Creative X-Fi, and I've heard some people who have the same mic who sound like they're in a fishbowl because they use some awful built in motherboard audio. To add to that, you'll likely enjoy your headphones a lot more if you get a sound card. Do what you want, but I would recommend either the Modmic, or a new sound card, or both. What I do not recommend is using a desktop mic with a loud keyboard because your teammates will not enjoy that one bit.
I just tried running -dxlevel 80 instead of -dxlevel 81 and I don't have flickering textures anymore(with the latest[afaik] nvidia drivers). Can anyone else confirm?
My main problem with the video was the lack of a crosshair. Scout clips look so wrong without a crosshair IMO.
We need a medic because everyone is busy with life and stuff. Scrims usually go down from 9-11ish EST, and the only requirements are a right mouse button and an agreeable personality(no debbie downers allowed). Add me or bsc if you would like to try out.

ArxVenting my frustrations here makes it easier to do so.
While it may make it easier for you to work with others, venting most definitely does NOT make it easier for others to work with you.
Having said that, most people in this community are really cool and forgiving and I'm sure they would still be willing to cast/produce alongside you/VTV(under the TFTV banner, because it obviously carries much more potential for viewership).
Is there a cutoff date for signups?
Try verifying the integrity of your game cache, you might have some weird corrupted textures or something.
I won't hit you spartan, I'm just trying to save people from $60-mic-fell-down-a-well syndrome. Don't get me wrong the snowball and the yeti are great mics, I just hate seeing people throw money away on a podcast mic because they heard it sounds great only to set it on their desk like a mile away.
lamefxgrapei use it to see if dm servers are filled
maybe try displaying the map name, that would be nice for surf/jump servers in particular
Map name is displayed if you click on the servers tab at the top. Not sure how you'd fit it onto the sidebar on the right
Maybe display the map when you hover on a server? That would keep the tidy look it has now while also providing info when you want it.
The lower ceiling in bball forces more precise jumps and also prevents people from just jumping into the sky for easy scores. IMO don't mess with the height.
What makes cpma any better, isn't PQL quakelive basically the same thing? (legit question)
Here's a pretty broken spot that's only available on Red side: The garage door railing in Red lunchbox. You can get up on top on Red side, but not on Blu(the roof is flat on Blu so you don't have enough room). Not only can you hide there, but you can also taunt to see into yard for free and look at some important areas without committing at all.
