We are incredibly low on seats. This will almost certainly be the final line of tickets, which will probably run out tonight or tomorrow. Buy your tickets now. I also believe the price for these final tickets are $55. Do not wait, because I'm not making any kind of exceptions for anyone.

TurinAlso, due to events that I just learned of yesterday, I might be unable to go, but I can't confirm it until after the refund deadline. If it turns out I can't go I will try to give it to someone that needs a ticket.
dflameIf anyone ends up not being to go and would like to sell their ticket contact thrasher or myself. We need 3 tickets if possible. Thank you.
ThickneySelling ticketto.
Tickets are not transferable.
freakinxlr8Im still confused about the ticket pricing, the thread says its 20 per person, but the ticket vendor says its 15 for spectator, and 50 for an individual. If someone could clear this up, that'd be great. The part of the thread that says $20 is talking about the tournament buy in, but I believe it was changed to $10 and Nick just missed editing that part of the post. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.
It is $50 to attend the LAN as a player, or $15 as a spectator. The tournament buy in is completely separate from and in addition to this.
freakin is correct. The tournament fee has been updated in the FAQ since the change about two months ago. I didn't feel like going through 18 pages of posts to edit out any old discussion about it.
Tickets opened back up. When the event totally sells out for good, spectators passes won't be able to be bought.
So really, just buy your ticket now and don't worry about this becoming an issue for you.
TMPI personally would be interested in watching some more modern games on Yukon. See how people would approach the map now and whatnot. It's been a long time since I've seen Yukon played competitively in any format.
You will. I just added Yukon to the GXL map pool.
*Important post so I'm gonna make this text really annoying and noticeable*
Team Europe = all 6 paid on CEVO!
I see more activity on the CEVO tournament page, so please make sure you find a team soon and pay up. Once again, the player fee on CEVO is now $10 instead of the $20. LAN is 3 weeks away, so don't wait until last second to find a team.
Also, I'm putting this here as a giant warning. Yeah, we got a new hall at the venue that gives us more space, but I'm not exactly sure how many more people we can fit. With that being said, please buy your ticket sooner than later, because there's a chance the event will totally sell out before the actual event.
Lastly, you can only get a refund up to two weeks before the event. Therefore, you have until next week to get a refund. I know the refund process has been very slow for some people, but we are getting a handful of refunds as of late. If you are getting a refund, please make sure to provide info@thegxl.com with your real name, your alias, and the email address you sign up with (and the paypal email address if that differs from your normal email address).
Oh, and with a lot of the cp_yukon discussion in the other thread, I've decided to add it to the map pool.
We finally secured the new hall, so you can now buy tickets again. However, seats are limited. I don't know how limited it is, but buy your tickets as soon as you can.
MemphisVonI needed some good TF2 drama to read while bored at work.
While we're on the topic, can we talk about how lack luster afla's sniping has been all season, and then last night with the 16-0 reputation on the line, he goes nuts? I need to make a video of me failing at CSGO real quick with one of alfa's shots, upload should be up soon.
Please personally message him to commend his sniping, as he will probably become filled with great sadness otherwise.
This is definitely one of the shittiest hackusation videos I've seen. The horrible comparisons between what an actual hacker looks like and what marisa did are not even close. The wireframe part where it looked like she was tracking the medic through the wall is also totally stupid. Slowly peeking and moving your mouse like that is totally normal (and smart), yet just because a medic happened to be running that way, she's cheating?
Yeah, some of her twitch shots aren't totally clean as other snipers in terms of mouse movement, but that doesn't mean that one is cheating at all. Some people twitch differently, and that's just how it is. In fact, I've adapted a similar twitch style from Unreal Tournament 2004 (though I really can't snipe for shit in TF2, lol).
Marisa will do just fine at GXL, which should put this to rest.
MOOSE_TheFragilemaybe I'll throw it in the GXL map pool? That would be really fun to watch, also it may give an idea of how people would play it differently
Yeah, I think it'll be very likely that I'll put it in the map pool.
I never really understood why Yukon got removed in the first place. I can see how annoying it was to push last a really long time ago, but the map has gone through a lot of necessary changes to make it really great. I absolutely love how you can play mid-fights many different ways (and even viably with a sniper).
I would say that Yukon has more balance and interesting play than some of the maps in the current rotation (Granary comes to mind). I would definitely be in favor of bringing back Yukon.
Actually, maybe I'll throw it in the GXL map pool?
TurinThe problem with sunshine is that you can get away with too many mistakes. You can wipe pushing 2nd and still end up keeping mid without much of a fight.
Other maps generally encourage punishing you appropriately for big mistakes like this, but sunshine just feels like a big DMfest without much else.
I don't agree with any of this. The first part of your post is only true if the other team wipes and only about two of your teammates survive. In that case, the other team's new spawns will get there quick enough to stop two people (but you can honestly say this about any map). However, if your team survives the fight with a good 4+ people, you will take back the mid point without much trouble.
Sunshine definitely punishes you for mistakes just as hard as other maps, maybe even harder. The only map I can think of that definitely punishes harder for mistakes is Granary.
TurinDoes that include spectators, Fragile?
I'll get back to you on this in a day or two.
wow alfa so fucking arrogant, minus fragged
If no one knew, id Software actually hired justin to make this trailer, which is really fucking awesome.
Oh wait, really? The demo comes out on Friday? That's awesome.
Right now, it seems that we've reached max capacity in the hall we rented out, so we are trying to rent out a different hall to increase the amount of room we have. Because of this, I don't think it's possible to buy a ticket right at this moment. If we get the new hall, ticket purchases will be open once again. I apologize that this is sudden, but had I known anything like this was gonna happen, I would have given more of a warning sooner. Again, please wait as we are looking to get a bigger hall.
The moment there is any kind of update on this, I will post here immediately. Do not message me about this, as I'm not gonna tell you anything different than what I've told you here. Please be patient.
