Among the high profile names who have been let go or left Twitch, many work in or have their roots in esports and competitive gaming. This includes FishStix, Adam Contini, TosspoT, Justin Wong, and Jon Carnage. Unbelievable to me Twitch would compromise its core audience.

FishStix :(
It's dead.
I played DoDs competitively when it first came out, and the primary league was CAL. CAL was very active for DoDs at the time. After CAL died out as whole, some home-brew leagues started up, with one or two being extremely competitive. However, this lasted until like 2009-2010, and I don't think anything serious has maintained itself since then.
I've looked every once in a while since then, and I think you can find a random league with maybe 3 or 4 teams max, but who knows if they are even active. In fact, who knows if the league is even actively managed anymore.
As someone who loves DoD dearly (probably my favorite game), I've thought about this a lot and I'm pretty sure it will only come back when Valve releases a new version (probably with the HL3 engine).
I still join public servers every once in a while to get my fill, and that's probably the best you're going to get, too.

Group stage has ended. Brackets are starting at 2:30 PM EST. I believe some of it will be streamed.
Your team must be registered by 11 AM on Saturday morning.
I pushed the registration deadline back to 11 AM to give everyone a little more time to get to the venue, so please do not be late.
ether_Just realized that I might actually be able to go, but no spots. :(
Do I have to wait for someone to refund their ticket?
Yes. We don't do waiting lists or anything, but keep your eyes on the page. We've had a few refunds in the past week.
Geknaiirwhats the turnout for the melee tourney like last year and do I need to buy a seat for that if I were to go for melee or to meet my favorite tf2 player (zillyhoo)?
like 20-25 signups for melee. You need to purchase a seat to participate in tournaments.
Two things:
1) If you still haven't bought your ticket to the LAN, the $5 coupon code ends at 11:59 PM PST on the 31st. The code is CU@
2) If you are getting a hotel, make sure to use these links to get a better price. These hotels are less than a two minute drive to the venue. These offers expire on Friday, February 2nd.
There are ~50 seats left. Don't wait until it's too late. :(
As of right now, there's roughly six areas on the seating chart where you'll be able to fit your full team of six next to each other.
The seats are almost halfway gone. Don't wait too much longer, kids.
Coming from someone who barely watches anything ever, Black Mirror is amazing.
