#41 What music do you game to? in Off Topic

recently, crystal castles.

i like stuff that fills up my range of hearing more often than not but i can't really listen to that while trying to hold a conversation in mumble.

Yeah it's really poorly optimized. Haven't had a chance to play too much yet though.

#4 LFT Pocket/Roamer in Recruitment (looking for team)

I think the reason you're getting these minus frags is because of the negative experiences people have had when scrimming with you. You complain a lot. You're very loud in mumble and don't have a lot of constructive input, most of the time. That's something that can be fixed, though. If you can work out your comms and find a better way and time to express your feelings about things that are happening in a scrim (i.e. not in the middle of one) then I think you'll be golden.

Anyone interested in trying out Turin should start him on roamer first, in my opinion. His DM can handle pocket but for me his comms are too muddled right now for him to play it.

Also don't let any of my comments scare you (team leaders) away. He doesn't have a negative attitude although he is very animated at times.

gl Turin, hopefully this helps.

#20 best roaming soldiers? in TF2 General Discussion

I was really impressed with GeaR at i49. I feel like Blaze and Harbleu are probably close contenders for best NA. Tagg functions well as a roamer most of the time, but he doesn't play as effectively as most roamers, especially when you speed things up. For that reason I wouldn't say he's one of the best.

#37 Fat shaming in Off Topic

There are times and places for everything!

[thing: this topic + place: tf.tv] = time: never

[thing: this topic + place: tumblr.com] = time: whenever you want!

unless your friend follows you on tumblr in which case. . .

I mean post whatever but

fieldspeople are assholes and always will be assholeswafflebsince it is an inherently unhealthy/ugly trait

i wouldn't say inherently ugly although that is generally how people think of it

bring them back down to reality

which is what? You are what you look like in the mirror? You're not as healthy as some other people? Your friend probably doesn't need a reality check. Unless she is very conceited and believes that her appearance is above criticism.

I don't think it's unreasonable to be upset by the fact that people are being uncivil to you. I mean sure it happens all the time but people can still be mad about it when it happens, right? Most people are really insecure about a lot of stuff. If she doesn't feel good about her appearance, I can understand why she's bothered when people bring it up.

Then again maybe you're one of those people who believes that any person can overcome any difficulty simply by changing their mode of thinking.

#98 i49 Grand Finals in Events

Epsilon was really incredible and a lot of fun to watch. I'm glad TCM was able to contest the grand finals so fiercely. HRG or iM in the finals probably wouldn't have been as fun to watch.

Thanks for the awesome coverage, VTV. The variety of content the stream was able to provide was unprecedented for tf2, afaik.
