#5 Hey ESEA in TF2 General Discussion

Because ESEA also bans by IP, so when a user logins to your account, it becomes associated with that IP address. He got me banned since he was still banned off of ESEA. So by logging into a non-banned account, he got me and everyone who associates his IP with their account, banned.

#2 Hey ESEA in TF2 General Discussion

My support ticket word-for-word:

Hey,

So this is the second time I've been banned from the ESEA network for what I assume to be "Ban Evasion".
As you said last time, the safety of my account is of my own concern and not of yours. But, there is literally no way around this. I have changed every password for every account I own and changed their associated email addresses as well. The problem is that ESEA ties bans with a user's IP address and previous ban, so whenever a "banned player" logins to a non-banned players account, that account and every account it is associated with is also banned.

What happened was, over a year ago, I downloaded Counter-strike: source hud off a user's youtube page "hyphen GUI" which contained a rat capable of stealing my person identification; usernames and passwords included. A few users did the same, most notifiable for me was memrawd as he too is a TF2 player. The user who had placed the rat in the hud then got banned off of ESEA for some reason and decided that he would take a few users with him, he used to the passwords and usernames he gained off of the rat to ban users for "ban evasion", taking me for five months and twenty-eight dollars. Along with me was Memrawd( who decided it would be better to create a new account and thus add on to the length of his ban time,), and another CSS player who does not play anymore after his ban. There are a few others, most notably European players. Although, I am unable to identify who they are as no information had been given to me.

The reason I know all this information is that the user who helped the user get me banned contacted me the following week to "help" me, he too is a TF2 player under the alias "Shifty" who may also be banned from ESEA.
Then the player himself who banned me contacted me on steam to mock me.

Please, change the way your system works. And please unban me, this is absolutely not my fault, I had no way to fix this problem, it's out of my hands. This is not only my problem, but the problem of the others who had been banned.

Killing and Kalkin did all they could in their position, I dont think they did anything wrong, and they actually cared unlike the idiotic CS ESEA admins who reviewed my support ticket.

#1 Getting back into TF2 in Q/A Help

Hey, My ESEA ban is up so I'd like to start playing TF2 more often.

More specifically, I'm interested in playing pugs more often.

So, uh. If anyone has the list of pug IRC channels that'd be much appreciated.

Thanks.

#1 Monkey in posh miniature winter coat found in Ikea in Off Topic

http://nationalpostnews.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/ikeamonkey.jpg?w=620

Reports are circulating on Twitter Sunday that a monkey in a Shearling winter coat was caught in the Toronto Ikea near Leslie street.

The Toronto Police say that it is unclear how the monkey got inside the Ikea or why it was there, the CBC reports.

Global news confirmed that the monkey had been taken into custody by animal services.

In Toronto, monkeys such as this one are illegal to have as pets.

“It was very bizarre to see a real live monkey there,” witness Bronwyn Page told CTV news. “It was really small and just funny dressed in the coat.”

#23 olympic video games? in TF2 General Discussion

I've wondered what it would be like to have provence/state based "esports" teams. or at least a regional bracket system of some sort. I understand that TF2 isnt exactly big enough to sustain something of that magnitude, but what about games like dota2 or SC2(refraining from saying league). Would the government actually support something like this, or would we need to fund it privately? Then again, it's just a thought.
