#38 TF2Center Ranking System in TF2 General Discussion

My advice is to not make a ranking system. instead have med or demo captains and let them choose their teammates. you could give some stats on the prospect. including, if you can, for the roamer medic kills (or Ks + As) per life. or whatever people think would be better.

I would not play on a website with elo.

#1 Steam names advertising this site, in Site Discussion

people are already changing their names to twitch.tv/streamName in steam and youtube.com/channelName to get themselves viewers and exposure. no one is using teamfortress.tv/streams/view/streamName, though. I see that as a lost opportunity.

so, 1, get people to do that.

but, 2, see about shortening the links so that the name can actually be read in scoreboards and stuff. "team" and "fortress" already is a lot of characters already.

3, let people add their youtube, their twitter, their facebook, their steam group link, their myspace, tumbler, linkedin, tf2mingle, their I don't know what link ... and general info, like twitch does, to their stream page on this site. is that stuff, short/long bio, in the twitch api? could you just access it and copy/pasta?

I don't know how much work this is asking. probably not worth it. just writing this idea down before I forget it and it never gets mentioned again.
