Thank you to Nightfaul for shedding light on the South American scene with this frag video for Brasil Fortress Season 7, collaborating with league admin awake!
easy for the team with more clout
A few of us have been chilling in the off season and taking a break but we finally finished Chapter 2 of the Witness Gaming HL thingy. Here's the trailer. It's about ~50 minutes long.
surprisingly enough, there's enough interest to make the equivalent of two highlander teams last time i talked to clarinate. that's the person who leads all their tf2 teams
Apparently the TF2 and Splatoon divisions for the Texas A&M Program (university sports is very popular in the USA) is stronger than their Apex Legends division.
That's coming from the coach of Texas A&M Esports who is also an internationally renowned Apex Caster

@ZephyrCastsBro we got more people trying out for Splatoon and TF2 than we do Apex at TAMU…
Only 1 person after a whole week of signups and open house.

and yes there is a Collegiate TF2 Esports League
siyoAlso: We're looking for video editors to help us make tf2 competitive lore content videos. Beth is currently tied up in the WG Highlander project but I have another I'd like to make and am currently working on a script for. Reach out to me on Discord - siyo_.
In regards to the WG Highlander video:
We're still working on it. Sorry for the wait. We're estimating the final time of Part 2 to go between 30-45 minutes. We're still undergoing heavy edits and reviewing between me and Bethnicz before screening and getting the greenlight from the rest of Fireside. We're balancing real life with this project and it was a huge project to take on in the first place. Cheers
In the meantime our other lore video is also being held up by other projects at the moment. I still have to do some footage gathering + I meant to get interviews from people in the video. We're still waiting on a response for that one. Sorry!
To handle the multitude of event/match coverage requests, we request that any third party event organizers reach out to us with event/match coverage requests through the Fireside Discord in our #contact-us channel.

Before it was normal to just message me to get a tournament covered; once I was contacted I'd forward the message to everyone. But I'm no longer the only guy running Fireside + it's better to centralize things so more eyes are on the request. Yes, we're trying to get rid of the "everything runs through one person" thing.
Don't try DM'ing me to request a tournament to be covered because you will just get redirected to this channel haha
agreed, we need solarlight's team versus goblin jacks
capnnofapnbrody>new esports fps game
>the game is an in-universe televised sport/reality tv show
so tiring. who is asking for this?
pretty sure im stating the obvious here but i think the justification for this is that if the in-universe game is a sport, then people irl will be more likely to think of it as an esport. It makes sense for a game like rocket league, which is literally soccer, but for a tac shooter it just comes off like the game is going to be another forced esport. 5 years ago this might've worked to their benefit, but now even normie gamers are wary of anything that looks "esportsy".
also have to consider appeasing to any committees that see video games as violence and rage inducing. instead of posing it as police vs terrorists or whatever you can at least make it passable by posing it this way
